WTWoodson bathroom doors

i go to WTWoodson highschool. In most of the bathrooms, the stalls dont have doors on them (apparently this is only for the mens bathrooms). Is this just at woodson or at other schools too? Why is it like this? How is this legal, both from a privacy standpoint (i take a dump with nothing blocking my front) and from a gender equality standpoint (the girls bathrooms do have doors)?

The only way to solve these situations is to start taking a shit in the halls each and every time you feel the urge.
If everyone does it all the time, the school will have to cave in to whatever crazy shit you guys demand.

Back in my day, we encountered the same problem at Lee. I got around this by using the marked faculty bathroom. Others would go to the guidance office and shit there, but that was too crowded for my tastes.

Frankly, I like a nice open space when I'm squeezing one out. But even stalls without doors were too confining to me so I shat in the urinals. If I had to pee too, I'd pull up a trash can and multitask.
If it was a smaller bathroom, I was usually able to shoot my piss into the sink on the other side of the room while making my deposit into the urinal....it took me a month or two to get the aim down perfectly though.

All of the stalls at TJ had doors. The ones in the locker room were only about 5 feet high, though. There was a mix at McLean. Supposedly it's to stop people from doing drugs?

A couple years back I was in a local highschool...first time I'd been in a highschool since I'd graduated, 10 years. (Now you can figure out about how old I am).
There were security cameras everywhere and I swear I've seen gas station bathrooms in better condition (that actually had stall doors). The gum stuck to the walls was a nice touch, too.
Seeing all of that made me more glad than ever that I graduated HS when I did.

I go to Woodson too, I just don't use the bathroom. After the renovation I'm sure most of them will have stalls.

I don't think there are any government codes on how bathroom stalls must be constructed and designed.
First of all I would say never ever take a dump in school because it's pretty nasty.
And secondly, we used to have what you're talking about at Fairfax, in some pre-renovation bathrooms. It's a stall that comes up to about 4 feet and has no door. Pretty stupid.

At the school where I taught, the restrooms were in pretty good shape. They all had doors on them. However, The restrooms had to be patrolled very vigilantly. That was the main place where students bought and sold drugs, had fights, hid out while cutting classes, etc. On the middle school side, it was also a very common place to have sex. We used to catch kids in there all the time having sex. Maybe that's why they took the doors off. I agree the bathrooms are often unsanitary and unpleasant. A lot of girls told me that they waited ALL day until they got home to use the bathroom. Home Ec. was a popular elective because the classroom had a clean and private bathroom. That's pretty sad.

I went to West Potomac, same thing no doors on the stalls. I bring this topic up occasionally and always wondered why it was only in the guys bathroom, seems like there is a vioaltion of rights there.

well, thats what ive heard, but i still dont get it. Why then do some bathrooms have doors? including the one in the ED Center, which is where a lot of druggies are. And i know that there are a LOT of girls that smoke at our school, so what about them?
and i still dont understand the legality of it. How come this isnt a violation of privacy? And how is this not gender discrimination? has anyone ever tried to bring a case against the school system?

When WTW was built in the 1960s Fairfax County School Officials were still afflicted with a country mentality. They probably considered the students to have stalls at all, much less ones with doors.
Many of the black schools only had outhouses until the 1950s.
