Im actually shocked the suspects are black. That sounds more like a latino thing. I guess they could be black latinos (remember George Zimmerman is a white latino according to the Black KKK)

Hey Choppy, if you're going to murder someone with a machete? I'm pretty sure you want to use a proliferated $14 model from a big box store as opposed to a custom-designed knife that could more easily be CSI-ed and junk and tracked back to you...

This particular model is designed by Gil Hibben but factory produced. There are lots of these around and for sale over the counter. If you want a "custom designed" Hibben get ready to fork over some big bucks.

In central America, the machete is the weapon of choice amongst people who cant afford guns. They usually get the job done. Messy but effective.

The Hibben machete you initially posted is a CUSTOM-designed, MASS-PRODUCED knife and sells for $73. Despite the fact that it's mass produced, due it's price point it's far less proliferated than the Home Depot $14 special. That's simple economics.
EVERY knife that bears Gil Hibben's name is custom-designed. That's why his name is on them. NOT every Gil Hibben knife is custom MADE however.
