"El Lupo" closed in Fairfax City a few months back. Now there is the Hard Times there.

A remarkably unsophisticated fraud. The behavior of those that go off the rails continues to astound me - in any moment of rational thought, this fellow had to understand how easily the fraud would be to be discovered. Using the same 600,000 or so collateral to scam 4 million bucks is an activity certain to send anyone on the quick road to perdition.
Financial problems stink - but living in an apartment making a humble living at something - is far better than being stuck in prison.
I don't wish criminal problems on anyone - perhaps this fellow can help others from going off the rails.

I grew up with J.T. and graduated from Fort Hunt with him in 1985. I've known him since we were in elementary school. No excuse for this kind of crime and, yes, extremely stupid. That being said, whoever EGADS is that posted about John being muslim is obviously one dumb polesmoker.....pit some go through life with a fourth grade education.

I used to date John yrs ago...way before even the Shark Club days. When I heard about this it made me so sad. He has really changed I guess. He was a great guy with a college education that got off track for sure. I think the money got the best of him. I am certainly not going to defend what he has done but I do feel for him and his family...especially his children. John is from Cypress and is definitely not muslim.

WOW! I dated John off and on in 2006 and 2007 but lived out of state the entire time. Needless to say I was clearly naive throughout the whole relationship and had no idea that any of this was going on. I have to say John is truly a sweet guy who has completely gotten off track and I do hope that he will be able to get himself sorted out in the big house. And no, he is not Muslim-he is Greek Orthodox-which in case you haters don't know, is Christian.

Never needed a sugar daddy as you so imply. J T was able to talk his way out of many sticky situations for so long.
This time, he's gone too far. Speedy Delivery won't be there to bail him
out. After the sentencing in July, he'll be totally alone because the
high priced lawyers will all be gone.

I was with John on several occasions when he would run into Jimmy C-things were not good, lots of testosterone and alcohol involved so I never knew whether they really had it out for each other or if there just wasn't any place big enough in DC for both of their egos at the same time. As far a Jim S. is concerned, had no idea he was trying to get involved in anything shady. Again, guess I was TOTALLY naive about the whole gig since I lived out of state and didn't really rely on John for anything other than fun.

Kretikos. . .way to point out the obvious about me. . .already mentioned that I didn't know about John's activities, but considering that I wasn't local, was only dating him for shits and giggles, and certainly wasn't involved with any sort of business with him, I'm not so sure it makes me naive. . .just more out of the local DC loop. What canyou expect when you live 800 miles away :) all in all John has unfortunately left a path of disappointment, destruction, and hard feelings in his wake-something that he'll have to make amends for in the days to come.
