ABC 7 cleaning house?

Counting the traffic girl, 4 of their tier two level girls are gone over the last three weeks. Meadows, Barrett, Wild, and Doren.

I dont know if they rule but they just did an hour and has what they call fox edge that is basically more news. Obviously they are either investing alot or making alot of money!

Allbritton sold WJLA TV and News Channel 8 last fall. Several contracts for on-air personalities were not renewed and others were renegotiated. Those who held out thinking they would get a better deal, instead got the ax. Look for more departures of top tier on-air personalities into the same. Some familiar faces that have been around DC TV news for decades will disappear (Peterson, Bunyon, Hill) and new young talent will hopefully bring WJLA back to the top of the ratings game. Also, a new latino female will anchor the 11:00pm news starting this fall!

Well, Natasha (who I think is drop dead gorgeous) moved back to her hometown to be an anchor. So, that's not really a step down..more of a step up. And, while she's not with ABC Britt McHenry moved up as she joined ESPN DC. It's only a matter of time when attractive women get better offers.

I will surly miss Natasha though. I could stare into her eyes for days.

Local media is nearly devoid of talent with the exception of the evening anchors.
WJLA and especially it's sister station NewsChannel 8 are bringing up the rear in local "talent". By a wide margin.

Local outlets can't pay decent salaries so they are left hiring inexperienced anchors and reporters.

Local sports reporting is a waste of resources.

Lets face it, when we want current news we go online even if it's to the local media websites.
