Can anyone recommend a good diesel mechanic for a Ford Super Duty 6.0?

THanks.

Cut your losses and get rid of that POS.

That 6.0 engine ended a 20+ year relationship between Ford and Navistar (International). Ford is now partnered with a German company to supply diesels for F-Series trucks.

I have read that the 6.0 can be modified with aftermarket parts and it will then be a so-so engine instead of complete garbage. Not worth the money.

See if you can trade it to some idiot for an older truck with the 7.3 motor.

Thanks for recommendation! and yes, my 6.0 is bulletproofed/modified. It's been very reliable. It just leaks a little oil....I believe its the ICP sensor, but that's just a guess.

Any other recommendations are welcome.

All Fords rear main seal leak.
Mine has tinkled oil after 50K.

Powerstroke is garbage. Repower it!

I put a 6V53 (aka 318 Jimmy) in my '85 Chevy pickup. Ain't nuthin sounds as good or pulls as hard as 2-stroke oilburner. They're cheap too, lots of dump trucks had 'em, so junk yards are full of 'em.

My truck will pull a Powerstroke backwards. You have to be careful though, Detroits don't stall, they pull 'til something breaks.

Here's a guy that put one in a '73. My setup is the same except I run a 10 speed Fuller tranny instead of Allison.

WTG, 6V53 Detroit!

I'm going to put a real diesel in my 2000 Ford F-350. But I've always been partial to Cats. 8 cylinder Cat 3208s are pretty easy to come by and are lower profile, so the stock hood works. They will also climb trees.

Here's a guy with a sweet 3208 powered Ford:

I was seriously considering either a Ford Powerstroke or Cummins Dodge.

Brand-new.

Or should I wait for the cummins titan?

"The next Titan will make use of a 5.0-liter, turbodiesel V8 from Cummins, the Japanese company announced at the start of its Nissan 360 industry showcase."
