Old Fairfax Toys R Us building

I used to love going there as a kid. Something about the building, with higher ceilings, etc made it more toy store-ish.

Juvenile Sales on John Marr Drive was the shit...and then we'd go to the Jack in the Box in the parking and GET...the shits.

Omg juvenile sales! I saw that building (a party store now) after moving back here and I couldn't remember what it used to be, just that I loved it as a kid.

Agree about the toys r us also. That place seemed SO HUGE.

Nothing will top the sight, sounds and smell of that Toys R US from when I was a kid. That place was pure childhood heaven.

Used to go to TRU back in the day. In the 80s I remodeled the building to the Sears home store. The roofing tanker caught fire and I had to call 911. There is a naturally occurring vein of asbestos that runs through that whole area. Digging for storm and sewer laterals was monitored by the then fledgling EPA. They were a pain in the ass and held up progress. The city inspectors were down there everyday also. When Sears pulled out it became Haverty's. I got pussy from 2 of the sales women and 1 loved ass sex.
