Does anyone else hear this screeching fox in the Franklin Farm area?! Who can we call to shoot this thing dead? I saw it in the daytime looking very mangy and almost rabid. My dad could shoot him but we're not trying to get in trouble by any Nova save the animals yuppies.

Another cunt snowflake. Turn on MSNBC and see where you are to report for your daily tantrum. There won't be any foxes there - literally or figuratively - and you won't have to deal with it.

I'm sorry, is the city dwelling liberal cunt not familiar with calls made by various wildlife in their natural habitats? A fox on its own is no threat to anyone. If you can't stand it, put on some earplugs or some headphones to listen to your indipoprock bullshit music and leave the fox be.

A rabid FOX IS A DANGER. You shouldn't be seeing foxes in the daytime that aren't the human type.

That is why I said a fox on its own isn't a threat. A rabid fox is a different story. It isn't uncommon to see them during the day, especially in the early morning hours.

I thought 'city dwelling liberal cunts' don't have guns?
She says her dad wants to shoot it.
Sounds like a gun-toting, fearful conservative cunt to me.

It's that time of year for foxes. The vixens come into heat and advertise it with their screeching barks, then the males chase them around until someone gets lucky. Little foxes are the result. Shooting foxes is against Virginia game laws in Fairfax, Fauquier, and a couple other counties due to the horsey set who like to ride to the hounds, or used to before the area filled up with housing developments and shopping malls. The hunters are gone, the foxes are still here. Vive Reynard!

Call animal control. If the thing is rabid they will try to check it out and they would take care of whatever needs to be done. Just call them and tell them about it. It's their job.

Oh hum, yes a rabid fox is a danger, but it is normal for Fox and Coyote to come out during the daylight hours, this does not mean they are rabid.

We have plenty of Fox and Coyote in McLean, I see them out during the day when walking the dog all the time.

The suburban foxes and deer do not keep traditional wild animal hours. It is common to see foxes (and deer) at any hour of the day. They are accustomed to humans and even healthy non-rabid foxes will sometimes follow people. I used to have one follow me, I think because it had a den with young in the area. It doesn't mean they are a threat or stalking though.

Foxes do come out during the daytime. And, no, that doesn't mean that they have rabies.

We see foxes and coyotes during the day all the time on the farms we hunt and in my neighborhood which has all acre plus lots and lots of woods. This is the fox and coyote mating season so you will be hearing them with their challenge barks and howls until March. You should move to Arlington or DC. There you only have to worry about the screams of the lowland hipsters.

You're not that much of a 'wildlife guy'.
Foxes are everywhere including Capitol Hill.
They call all year, not just breeding season. I actually hear them more in the summer behind my house at Lake Mercer.

It's not a "fix".

And it's not rabid.

You should stay away from animals. And not have children.

They scream because they are in heat. You are very cruel to try to deny that female fox a little loving.

Chances are the fox has mange -- not rabies. The 'screaming' is normal during mating season and mating activities.
