Yeah, I went there once. IMO that place sucks ass. I paid the cover charge, slammed down one of the overpriced beers and gotg the hell out of there. That place is like hole in the wall drug house come back from the 80's. There was a bunch o' wanna be milfs with the greezball dates that wear the dress shirt w/ no undershirt, top 3or4 buttons unbuttoned, fake gold chain and hairy chest. If you want to do a little time travel back to the greezball 80's then go to Rene's Sucker Club.

It is mostly Latinos and Philipinos. I park there near the back when I run of the Fairfax Cross County trail. I see homeless on that trail too. They're everywhere.

ChChChChChChanges.....

Rene's Supper Club was established in October 1976, originally known as the Wagon Wheel, hence has served the community with Dinning and Live entertainment performed for many years by Mr. Rene Ibanez, the founder.

Mr. Ibanez his two daughters and wife, Mrs. Alicia Ibanez managed the club for nearly 29 years in the City of Fairfax, making it one of the oldest Clubs in Virginia. In December 2003, Mr. Ibanez sold this exquisite hidden jewel in Fairfax City to Mr. John Olaya; John claims that he inherited one of the most unique Night Clubs in the Washington, Metro Area. John is now focusing on bringing this MATURE blend of ambiance to the International Community, his vision now after 20 months on the job, and living lots of ups and downs, a need to reshaping the image of the "old" Rene's Supper Club.

It's Rene's Supper Club. It's in the first floor of an office building in the parking lot of the Fairfax City Home Depot - or, just across the street from Artie's.

Well they would probably do a better business if they converted to Rene's Stripper Club

Fairfax City is way too conservative to let such a club operate. I remember how much of a fight was made when the Hooters was opened up.

Dang T2T you be old that Hooters is nearly 20 years old now. Hey like a lot of the girls who work there. You don't think they be the daughters of some of the original fairfax city hooters girls?

Do they still have the Northern Virginia Shagging club dances at Rene's?

Yeah, I'm old - 47 actually. I've lived in NoVA nearly 25 years, though. It's not like I want to remember the incidents in getting Hooters started up, but my mind just does. I also remember that particular location was "Rick Walker's Scoreboard" - and sat for quite a bit of time empty after it had gone out of business before Hooters came along and made it a thriving business. I'm sure FFX City is quite happy with it now, as it probably pulls in quite a nice amount of tax revenue, plus you never have a shortage of FFX City police cars on FFX. Boulevard waiting to bust the drunks for DUI after leaving Hooters. Anyway you look at it, they're making good money off the business.

As to daughters of the original waitresses working at Hooters, I can't really comment. However, as a speculation, you're probably on the mark and I'm sure there probably have been a few that have made it to work there since their mother did and they're "keeping it in the family".

Finally, we once knew a lady who was a fellow mother of a child in my daughter's Girl Scouts troop. The lady didn't amount to much in her life, but she'd pull out the photo album to prove that at one point in her life, she was a "Hooters Girl". That seemed to be about her biggest accomplishment in her life. One that she was actually quite proud of.
