State Layoffs

This really defies reason - that Maryland will lay off state workers...while tax payers are being fleeced to ensure the $3,200,000,000 ICC Toll road boondoggle is built. At least, O'Malley claims that education will not be cut. We shall see. MoCo teachers already volunteered to forgo their pay raise...that is real sacrifice.

The ICC needs to be cancelled. It has no real utility for the taxpayers being made to pay for it.

Welcome to MO'Maland where more taxes in a recession were actually expected to lift budgets and the state economy. Is anyone really surprised that the hard decisions still remain after all the Pols slapped themselves on their collective backs for the soft decisions they had made?! Spending must be reined in; tough decisions must be made; government can not be all things to all people....

Maryland, Rustbelt on the Potomac.
