Question about "Sons Of Anarchy" and biker culture

Yeah, yeah...the show's been off the air for over a year now and...

Yeah, yeah...wrong forum...

So, on the show, the members of SAMCRO have "California" embroidered on the bottom rockers of their cuts. This signifies the fact that the state of California is their turf.

However, we also see members of the Mayans MC have "Northern California" embroidered on the bottom rockers of their cuts. How is this possible or permissible?

Several years ago, there was a shootout between two MCs at a biker bar in Texas. Their beef? The fact that both clubs had "Texas" on their bottom rockers.

If the rules are, only one MC can rule a piece of turf...then why are the Pagans depicted with those bottom rockers on the show?

The bottom rocker signifies where the club is from. So you can have Pagan CA, Bloods CA and OEMR CA. A rocker doesn't have to mean a they claim to be the only gang in the state. Depends on the club.
