ITRADE, I think you and I could be good friends. I make my ramen the same way. My wife thinks I am an animal for eating it that way (or maybe for eating it at all)

I am literally making some on the stove right now... creamy chicken flavor. I cannot think of a better birthday breakfast, which I guess makes me sad, as well as gross.

That's the only way I used to eat that stuff too. Drain the water off, add a pat of margarine, and sprinkle the seasoning in.

I put frozen vegetables in while I'm cooking my ramen noodles. It makes a hearty meal.

After boiling, drain and form into a pancake shape. Place in skillet
w/ hot butter and saute until golden brown but not burnt. Turn and
brown other side. Add flavoring on top.

For variety, add shrimp, chicken, veggies, whatever. Soy sauce for
me please. Korean is great. Asii (I believe its called) is my
favorite. Best place to find it is the Korean supermarket
(cant remember the name) at Fairfax Circle.

The only place left to get Bill's Best Burger is a small place in Oakton. Sometimes if you're there really late, the cook's all drunk and he makes french toast for everyone.

Fairfax is starting to piss me off. Last night I was at the Whole Foods in Fair Lakes a little past 9pm trying to buy some sushi and beer to take home for a late dinner. I couldn't find anybody to ring me up. I asked the woman at the coffee counter if she could ring me up but she just looked around for somebody else and acted helpless. So I went to P.F. Changs and had a bite at the bar. I managed to stay through last call and was still in bed by 11pm.

I try to patronize the little indie places but we are usually the only people there and you can tell the owners are wishing we would just get out so they can close up and go home.

Last week I went to the Wine House in Fairfax (a nice place, btw) on a week night and we were the only people there the entire time (about two hours).

Is it too much to ask for some decent weeknight dining options past 8pm in a county with a million whatever people?

This will only get worse. Most places will start rolling up the carpet at 7:00 to save money. Either this or close up shop. This will start happening with stores as well. Close times will move to 8:00 or 8:30 (some stores have already started this). May even some shuttered on Sundays.

Haha. I'd love it if they opened a Primanti's around here, that place is great. It would probably do well. They've branched out of the Burgh now too, they have 2 locations down in Florida.
