Finding his bio took me all of 3.5 seconds:

Looks pretty qualified to me.

You're actually less qualified to make useful posts on an anonymous forum. Get lost loser.

That "school" has a 100% acceptance rate. And what's a "master degree certification"?

The rest is just fluff that reads like a military general's bio. Yeah, hanging out in Embassy Suites during a disaster earns you a citation award like hiding out in a FOB rates one a Bronze Star.

No one is buying it.

First.....UMUC DOES NOT have an acceptance rate of 100%, far from that!
Second.....Chief Bowers applied to Fairfax County and must have been the best qualified so he was hired.

What does that have to do with anything? He could be a harvard grad or georgetown grad and not be doing so well. It all depends on your will.

John Vessey has a degree from UMUC. Who is he? Oh ya, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, head of the entire U.S. military.

He wouldn't be fire chief if he just graduated from college, any college for that matter. He rose through the ranks which is how executives of large and mid-size organizations get to their position.

100% acceptance doesn't mean 100% graduation.

UMUC is one step above UoP.

You aren't attending a real university. Or college. Or University College. Whatever the fuck that is.

University of Maryland is a joke. The entire state is filled with pinko commies and socialists. All firefighters hired by Fairfax County should be required to have attended the University of Virginia or some other Virginia institution. Say no to U of Md.

Just because you're accepted doesn't guarantee you'll be around if you don't make the grades.

UMUC is part of the University of Maryland system and while not as good as Virginia, is still well respected with a lot of notable alumni including the IG of the CIA, the top diplomat at the State Department, senior VPs of serious companies like Mantech, Bell Helicopter, and ConEd, and many elected officials in Maryland.

The basement dwelling trolls on here are a sad envious lot.

The OP must be a young twenty-something or a graduate of a 'prestigious' school who thinks it's important. For the rest of the world, NOBODY CARES WHERE YOU GRADUATED FROM.

At least he doesn't have an online Ed.D. degree. Then he'd be at FCPS, specializing in deeming difficult matters closed without doing anything and planning his next conference trip, to say nothing of the next working session at Sea Pearl.

The University of Maryland left the ACC thinking they were hot shit but are still second-rate.

Nobody who went to University of Maryland should be allowed to work for the state of Virginia.

+1

I manage a team of 15 white collar professionals and I can remember where one of them said they went to college. I really only care about how well they actually perfom their jobs.
