Mom's Day Dinner Ideas
Posted by: CableDawg ()

My sister and I are trying to think of a good place to take our mom for dinner on mom's day. We were thinking of maybe Tara Thai, Inn at Little Washington, or Ruth Chris (altho thats more Dads day)

Any ideas for a nice fancy place that a Mom might not have had a chance to go to? Money is not an object (sort of... =] )

thanks!

If money is no object than the Inn at Little Washington would definitely be a treat, but it's a drive.

Le Canard (french, the duck) in Vienna is a great dining experience and very quaint. They usually have a pianist in the evenings. http://www.le-canard.com/

The Inn at Little Washington was booked up over 1 month ago. No way you're getting in there unless you call at the right time after someone cancells. Tara Thai is not quite in the same league as those other restaurants. If you go french like Cary said, another good place my wife and I like to go to is Le Bergerie or L'Auberge Chez Francois....again, good luck with reservations.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. We ended up going to The Melting Pot which was VERY good. I highly recommend it to everyone. They even gave us free extra desert pieces to mop up the rest of our molten bailey's & dark chocolate.
