It's $145.00 a game, $75.00 to rent shoes, and an additional $50.00 if your feet stink and the bowling alley needs to clean the shoes.

The prices might have changed since I last went, though, so you might want to check out http://www.bowl-america.com/.

I work overnight so I bowl in the afternoon sometimes, you can bowl for 3 or 4 bucks a game if you go then (some days 3 but most 4). I own my own shoes so I have no idea what that costs.

Edit to add you should try to find out the days the local high school goes bowling and avoid the place.

High school bowling is usually on Fridays.

Bowl America must make a killing on that deal. We drop off up to 150 kids at a time but I bet they get some kind of a group rate. And each gym class goes, so that's business from 8:00 am until almost 2:00 pm.

The snack bar is probably the real money maker, those teenagers are ravenous!

I've smoked a few American bowls for pennies on the dollar (prices may vary by state)

I'm a little surprised Meeper didn't chime right up with prices, available lanes and league info. He know everything about everything.

A bowl movement can be quite satisfying.

Last time I was there it was like $2.30ish a game. At AMF in Centreville it's only $1.99 on Monday and Tuesday.

He's just jealous and wishes he had as much knowledge as your pinky finger.

My old roommate told us about a better move-out strategy for renters.

Take a huge dump on a plate, open a vent (preferably close to the center of the system), and slide the plate back into the ducts. For good measure you may want to use a broom to conceal the plate around a corner, so anyone who does a cursory glance into the vent will not see it.

The house will smell like shit for a long time, and no matter what they do it will not go away...

We went last week - its IIRC $2.99 a game. Cheap. I had fun and - amazingly - bowled 6 strikes (I am NOT a good bowler). My wife was floored.
