The wooded areas around Reston and Glade drive are scheduled to be gutted over the next couple of months in a major "stream restoration project" costing millions.

Reston is paying not one dime toward the cost of the project. It is being paid for by a wetlands group that sells 'wetland credits' to development firms that harm other wetlands. Reston woods need cleaning out and they will be lovely in a few years. Remember that most of the fires out west are caused by poor forest management brought about by do-gooders who didn't want to interfere with the 'natural order.'

If you want to tell the "truth" you should use the word "cause" in the correct context. The fires are "caused" by careless individuals and arsonists, and are exacerbated by the forest management.
"Reston Association -- the community-wide homeowners association that owns and maintains the town's lakes and streams -- are pursuing a more elaborate project for financial gain.
The Reston Association is expected to receive about $450,000 as well."

I like that, maybe my dues wont' go up....again...
Or some of the facilities will be upgraded with that money...or god forbid maybe they'll actually cut the grass and keep the walking paths cleared...
I have driven by the areas and I think it looks great... the trees will grow back...at least they are doing something nice and not juts cutting all the trees down like the power companies do...
