Upcoming Survival and Emergency Preparedness show
Posted by: Local Prepper Yokal ()

I'm a local prepper and just heard about an upcoming show to Chantilly, VA. Apparently it will be the first Survival and Emergency Preparedness show in Northern Virginia. It's 1-2 April at the NZone in Chantilly. Web site is www.sepsllc.com, direct link for the show is http://www.sepsllc.com/#!ec-prepcon-v/c129z.

Anyone heard of this company/organizers? Anyone going?

OMG! These people must be crazy. Anybody who attends this event is a danger to society. They must be stopped immediately before they start killing people with their emergency supplies of food and water. We're DOOMED!!!!

For $15 for both days it doesn't seem to bad of a deal. I'm not sure I would buy anything there since you could probably find stuff online for cheaper but it still seems like a good thing for most people.

Absolutely agree. This country has everyone believing you have to have the latest greatest gear to survive. Survival is a state of mind and knowing how to use it and resources which are readily available.

Maybe there are speakers. Is this just a place to sell over priced shit or an actual educational event? I agree, no reason to buy anything there, but having a local show with experts would hopefully result in exactly what you describe as being helpful in a survival situation.

Of course, it probably is just a large flea market filled with 500% marked up life straws and idiots with too much money and no common sense.

Where is the cheapest place to find filters online and/or offline?

I'm interested in this event for educational purposes but am not sure if they will just use the talking time to push products...

Scott Hunt is really good. He's on youtube as well. Tim Macwelch is good on outdoor Survival. Jay Blevins is speaking on surviving active shooters/attacks..so the education part looks good...they have a lot of classes scheduled.

I've been to the PREPCON shows before, and vendors are very helpful and knowledgable. Prices are good.

If for nothing else, go for the people watching ;-)

It has come to the attention of Oscar Meyer that the same fat asses that attend the gun shows will be attending this event as well. They are putting a rush delivery from all over the United States to deliver 1 billion dogs for this event.

I can't imagine how smelly such a event would be. All of the hollitosist and bodies rotting away from diabetes must be putrid.

You purchase all the supplies and gear to survive a basic Armageddon but then some idiot drops a thermal nuclear device on you house. Now wouldn't you feel kinda stupid for wasting all that money?

There are cheaper sources of nig repellant, which is most important in a doomsday scenario. When their welfare checks stop coming, they'll go even more apeshit than usual.
