The Capital Weather Gang at Washington Post are more accurate than anyone else in the industry. Right now they are saying,

"Still a week away, but hints of an East Coast storm next Tues-Wed with colder air back in the fold and an increasing possibility of significant if not historical snowfall for the DC metro area."

Wow turning on the hype machine a week in advance. That's real responsible.

No, we can get "winter" weather well into March, meaning snow, ice and all that fun stuff. Its Northern Virginia, not Florida.

-you may recall that one week ago this evening our first flakes began to fall in a truly disruptive winter storm that began to be "hyped" two weeks ago. Trust the scientists and stop your foolish denial.

A huge snow storm is expected to start on sunday night not this sunday but next and go all the way to thursday. They always predict low accumulation if the storm is far off to prevent media hype until the storm is a lot closer or else is the storm goes off in another direction they would receive a lot of backlash. My friend who works for the weather service is predicting anywhere from 1-4 ft. It is very far off so things could change but we are looking at a monster storm of the century possible. the temp also plays a huge role in it.

Sunday Night
nt_snow
Partly cloudy in the evening then becoming cloudy with periods of snow after midnight. Low 23F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 70%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches.
Monday
snow
Snow during the morning will give way to showers of rain and wet snow during the afternoon. High 42F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 80%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches.
Monday Night
nt_snow
Light snow in the evening will transition to snow showers overnight. Low 27F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 50%.
Tuesday
snow
Scattered snow showers early with any snow changing to rain showers later. High near 45F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 30%.
Tuesday Night
nt_chancesnow
Becoming partly cloudy later with any flurries or snow showers ending by midnight. Low 27F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 30%.
Wednesday
chancerain
Some clouds with the chance of a couple showers developing in the afternoon. High around 45F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
Wednesday Night
nt_snow
Rain showers early changing to light snow later at night. Low 29F. Winds light and variable. Chance of precip 50%.

Nope don't believe me research it yourself. You will start seeing a lot more information about the storm as it gets closer. As of right now it so far off no one wants to hype the media up yet and then the storm ends up taking a different track.

We have so much dough up in this area that it really doesn't matter. They will just drop a few million and have all the roads clear within a few hours like they did with this past storm.

No salt supplies are low everywhere up the east. Also 80% of our plows arn't large enough to push through 2 ft plus of snow. Even with the last storm of 13 inches they were only able to clear 1 lane on a lot of roads.

All I know is I was able to drive just fine in a sports car the next morning. If we are out of salt we can just throw cash on top of the snow.
