Hamas in DC
Posted by: Concerned in Fairfax ()
Date: January 07, 2009 11:15PM

My son went to see a movie with a friend on December 31 and the boys got approached by two men with dark complexion with Hamas flyers. They started telling my son and his friend that they should support Palestine against Israel because Israel is the cause of all world troubles. When my son objected and said that it wasn't Israel who started the war with Palestine, one of the guys told him he wished my son was dead. Here we go, Hamas terrorists are 20 miles from our capital threatening our kids ... I wonder what's next???

Technically the guy didn't threaten your son. He just wished that he was dead.

Yeah, that sucks. But it wasn't a threat.

Yep, I know and this is what scares me the most. These guys are no joke. They blow themselves up like crasy. Today they distribute their shit flyers and tomorrow will put a bomb in this movie theatre. I did report it to police. Not much they can do at this point...

If this happens to me or any of my kids, I will respond appropriately.
However, since you did not specify where or when this took place, I will
have to take it with a grain of salt.

Let Hamas hang out at movie theaters in the area recruirting terrorists. This is a far less dangerous use of their time and resources thean other things they have been up to.

It is probably as productive as the KKK recruiting members at a Boston liberal arts college.

They were doing the same thing in Maryland last week. I don't know if anyone was approached, but they did lit drops in neighborhoods that were predominantly Jewish.

The Maryland Police also said, until someone actually does something, there is not crime. It is their 1st Amendment Right to distribute the literature.

Hamas is a bunch of assholes. But they were only ever supposed to exist to make it hard for Fatah to gain any legitimacy.

Hamas was originally created by the Israeli Mossad, to act as a violent group in order to make all palestinians appear to be violently opposed to Israel.

Fatah is a very moderate group of palestinians, many of whom grew up in the times when non-ashkenazi Jews and palestinians owned propoerty together, started businesses together, etc.

The Ashkenazi Jews need a bogeyman to prove to the world that the arabs are out to get them and no palestinian will ever respect their right to occupy palestinian lands. Arab Jews and Arab Muslims, or Palestinian Jews and Palestinian Muslims have coexisted for centuries. Ashkenazis came along in the late 40's and wanted to push all arabs, muslims, palestinians and even arab jews out so they could create "israel". That is why the hagenau dressed up as arabs and bombed the King David Hotel (which was the British Military Headquarters at the time.)

Hamas sucks. But you have to understand that Hamas was formed by Israeli intelligence, and has always been an extremely militant pseudo-palestinian front organization. Fatah is the true palestinian political leadership.

My Boss is palestinian, as are a few coworkers. My Boss's family are all working for the Fatah government in the West Bank. He even owns a home in Nablus. He took part, as a teenager, in the first intifada, when it was all about flyers and throwing rocks. Hamas is another story, they are an armed group, created by Mossad and now funded by Egypt (who is helping Israel in the Gaza blockade) and likud militants who need to maintain the paradigm of jewish-palestinian conflict.

After all, it wasn't the palestinians who "broke the cease fire", since the "cease fire" was part of a brokered agreement where Israel would cease settling jewish people in contested palestinian lands in return for peace and a good-faith effort towards a two-state solution.

The "cease fire" was based on Israel no longer settling people in Palestinian lands. Israel never stopped settlements. Any cease fire never existed, under those terms.

Bob, I have never heard that one, can you back that up with anything credible? It sounds like something conspiratorial straight from the pages of a LaRouche flyer.

I'm not saying this as an Israel supporter, I believe they do have a lot to account for as far as provocation with their settlements. The line about Israel being "America's Best Middle East Ally" should be "America's Best Middle East Ally (against people who hate us for supporting them)"

That said it sounds kind of nutty that Mossad would go to those dangerous lengths though there are some very bizarre and counterintuitieve alliances in the region.

Remember though, a huge % of the Arab population believes Mossad pulled 9/11 and that Jews use the blood of children in rituals, Go figure.

Rabin was actually involved in the formation of Hamas. However, my understanding was that the group was supposed to be a counter-measure against the PLO. When that didn't work, the Israelis dropped their support and Hamas turned on them. That is what I have heard, anyway.

Actually Hamas was legitimally elected by the Palis, but the US and Israel didn't want it. As a Latino it just amazes me how ignorant American citizens are about the conflict in the ME and how they take what the media says as a fact. The rest of the world except for the US thinks Israel is right in this conflict. But then again better you guys than the rest of the world. Deal with Arab discontent, wars, falling economy, and falling status and respect. Good luck.

I suppose if your "Boss" was a Jew you would sing a different song? Does it feel good to be brainwashed by one of those who caused 9/11 and lick their butts? Palestinians are all liers and provocateurs. They use their women and children as live shield to protect their military from Israeli. When their children get shot, the Palestinians run to the media and start whining and complaining how nasty Jews killed their precious kids that they put in front of their army.

Cool animation in the video, but I wouldn't jump onto the side of the PLO because of the Shatilla Massacre. Some Israelis massacared Arabs in 1948, some PLO massacared Christians in 1975 and some Christian militias massacared Palestinians in 1982.

What I know about the USS Liberty I sure don't like, at best the IDF is guilty of reckless homicide, but I've come to beleive it's much worse.

The Lebanese Phalangists were one of many different Christian militias that allied to battle the PLO, first with the aid of Syria, later with the aid of Israel. The Lebanese I know in the area have told me there was pretty much peace and harmony between Christians and Muslims in Lebanon until the Palestinain refugees arrived in the 70's and the PLO began using their host country as a launch pad for attacks on Israel. Plus the Lebanese constitution had an affirmative action style seating of Parlaiment where Christians got one post, Muslims and Druze the others. As the population was changed by the influx of refugees, of course they wanted to change that set up also.

What was once an even Christian vs Muslim war in the region changed alliances frequently- Syria was originally a protector of the Christians and later became their enemy and the Druze did vice versa. Throw in the Cold War client states at the time and its really confusing. There is actually a large Christian faction in Lebanon now that is aligned with Hezbollah, while the others are aligned with Sunnis and Druze.

I used to sympathize with the Palestinians a lot more, but after Arafat turned down the deal Clinton had brokered I felt the PL was using their own people as political pawns. After 9/11 of course Israel seemed a better strategic ally even though in reality they are guided like all other nations by self interest only.
Sometimes I just think the 2 sides deserve each other.

Ahmed Yassin, the spiritual leader of the Islamist movement in Palestine, returning from Cairo in the seventies, established an Islamic charity association. Prime Minister Golda Meir, saw this as a an opportunity to counterbalance the rise of Arafat’s Fatah movement. .According to the Israeli weekly Koteret Rashit (October 1987), "The Islamic associations as well as the university had been supported and encouraged by the Israeli military authority" in charge of the (civilian) administration of the West Bank and Gaza. "They [the Islamic associations and the university] were authorized to receive money payments from abroad."

The Islamists set up orphanages and health clinics, as well as a network of schools, workshops which created employment for women as well as system of financial aid to the poor. And in 1978, they created an "Islamic University" in Gaza. "The military authority was convinced that these activities would weaken both the PLO and the leftist organizations in Gaza." At the end of 1992, there were six hundred mosques in Gaza. Thanks to Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad (Israel’s Institute for Intelligence and Special Tasks) , the Islamists were allowed to reinforce their presence in the occupied territories. Meanwhile, the members of Fatah (Movement for the National Liberation of Palestine) and the Palestinian Left were subjected to the most brutal form of repression.

I wouldn't say that the PLO of that time period was anything but a terrorist organization. Shatilla was an atrocity, and it has nothing to do with the PLO, other than the fact that it occurred to exact revenge against the PLO.

Whether Israel intentionally attacked the Liberty or not, the fact that this was a sustained attack that went on for several hours certainly doesn't make Israel innocent in any form of the word innocent. The Liberty communicated with the attackers until the radio room was destroyed. The US flag was clearly visible. If they didn't intend to attack a US vessel, they certainly weren't careful not to, either.

Every nation in that region is guilty in one form or another, of one evil deed or another. Jordan and Syria has kept palestinians in refugee camps for 50+ years, holding them politically hostage. For most regimes, it serves the purpose of maintaining internal security against their own citizens by maintaining an air of conflict and external threats. Saudi Arabia is one of the largest supporters of Hamas currently. Egypt is complicit with the Israelis in blockading Gaza.

There are no innocent parties in that mess. The only group that appears to be even remotely moderate is Fatah, and a two-state solution would be possible if this false-conflict scenario that all other parties in the region seem to want to keep perpetuating would end. Fatah and moderate israelis are the ones that should be in charge of negotiations, not the radicals from both sides, which is the current way.

Didn't a former Mossad agent charge that the Israelis knew about the Beirut Marine Barracks bombing beforehand but withheld the information because they wanted the US out of Lebanon, where they were interfering with Israeli operations against Palestinian militants?

Arafat claimed that he could not accept some of the terms, because he would be assassinated by his own people. But he did acknowledge that he would have accepted the Dayton accords, were it not for that fact.

I don't believe we should ally ourselves with anyone in that region. Saudi Arabia is the worst enemy we could ever have, but since they keep selling us oil, we turn a blind eye to their support for every extremist islamist group around the world. Most of Israel is actually moderate, but like in this country, it is controlled by a radical few. Fatah would actually lead the palestinians toward some peaceful resolution, but Israel focuses on Hamas and all but ignores Fatah.

It's almost like nobody wants there to ever be peace in that region. Every despotic ruler prefers there to be conflict in order to keep their own people in line, or something.

Its really not clear that the Palestinians deserved to have their country given to someone else and for many of them to spend the next 60 years in refugee camps subject to regular attacks and imprisonment by an expansionary Israel.

If we'd really cared that much after the end of World War II, we'd have set Israel up in somewhere we actually owned such as Bavaria or Texas. The Balfour Declaration was a serious mistake typical of the end of the British Empire, which was compounded by the US after the war to become the biggest strategic blunder of the 20th Century.

Israel has to realize that it has no chance of real peace until the Palestinians are treated fairly and have a contiguous, sustainable homeland rather than a set of open prisons run at the Israeli's bidding.

The current partition between Gaza and the West Bank is just not tenable - neither is sustainable and there will eventually have to be a land bridge, proper access to the sea and control of its own borders. Gaza was designed to be a mess - and was only created to disenfranchise a large chunk of the population to ensure that Israel remained a theocracy - the equivalent of making Texas 'independent' because we were afraid of a growing Latino population.

The current Israeli strategy of throwing their toys out of the pram when they think the West is not giving them enough attention (as with the last Lebanese debacle) is just not sustainable.

The reason that the Palestinians end up with groups such as the PLO, PFLP. Hamas, Hezbollah and Fatah is that no-one else is offering them justice. Its exactly why Castro came to power in Cuba - something had to be done, and no-one else stepped up.

The current unquestioning US bias towards Israel is a clear strategic mistake. It's never made sense to me that they were viewed as a strategic ally post the cold war - their values and objectives just don't align with ours and we don't gain anything from the relationship. Worse than that, we get tarred by the same brush every time they use weapons paid for by US military subsidies.

I'm no fan of organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas, their values, allies or tactics - but you can see why they do what they do, and you can see why many Palestinians are drawn to them. We constantly push the Palestinian people into the arms of Iran and Syria - for no good reason.

Hamas founding charter

* Article 7 of the Hamas Covenant states the following: "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (the Cedar tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews." (related by al-Bukhari and Muslem).

Especially since before the arrival of the ashkenazi (european) jews, Palestinian Jews and Arabs lived quite peaceably together. They owned businesses together, operated farming coops together, intermarried, etc.

Some would say that it was intentional. Lots of money and power is made through conflict. I don't know if they could have foreseen this clearly enough for that to be a motive, but it certain has been of benefit to those who profit and gain power through conflict.

And when that doesn't work, they always fall back on "the holocaust" which to me seems quite hypocritical when you think that a peoples who have been subjected to such atrocities could turn around and treat another group almost as horribly.

AIPAC has our politicians by the balls. Even Barack Obama had to capitulate to some degree toward Israel. There is no strategic benefit to our aiding Israel. There is no benefit whatsoever. They don't offer a "counter-balance" of any sort against any threat or ideology in that region. Israel is a catalyst for hatred and anger among arabs and muslims, they are a lightning rod that attracts all the negativity in that region. And because of AIPAC, we've grounded ourselves to that lightning rod. For no good purpose.

Quite frankly, Hamas is stupid. They are only asking for trouble by lobbing their home-made rockets into Sderot and other nearby Israeli towns. But, when Israel claims that hamas broke the cease-fire, they are being disingenuous. The cease fire is part of an agreement whereby Israel would cease israeli settlements in palestinian areas. They never stopped the settlers. Even though Hamas is being idiotic and suicidal by lobbing rockets at Israel, it is not hamas who broke the cease fire.

Umm, you aren't a very intelligent person, are you? Palestinians didn't cause 9/11, asshole. Saudi Arabians attacked us. It was in all the papers.

My boss is a palestinian, and my CEO is Jewish. Try to work that one out in your little pea brain.

Those damn jews. They cause all problems.

Geez. I realize you are being facetious, but come on. No one group controls everything. There's all kinds of unrelated (and some inter-related) groups that each has their hand in one conflict or another, one crisis or another, etc. Whenever there is money to be made or power to be had, some group or groups is going to take advantage of the situation.

* Furthermore, Article 32 of the Covenant makes reference to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion:

"Today it is Palestine, tomorrow it will be one country or another. The Zionist plan is limitless. After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand Walmarts and starbucks from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion,SUPER WALMARTS and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders Zion who proclaims to call its cup sizes ''Tall'' (meaning ''not tall,'' or ''small''), ''Grande'' (meaning ''medium'') and ''Venti''", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying."

I think the U.S. needs to treat the Israelis and Palestinians equally.

Look at it from this perspective. If Russia and China suddenly declared one day that the East Coast of the United States actually belonged to the British, and that you had to give up your land, homes to the British, many of whom had never lived here before, wouldn't you be pissed?

And to top it off, all the surrounding states would keep you in limbo in refugee camps for 60+ years, refuse to give you citizenship or even the right to work, refuse to give you travel visas to leave, subject you to searches and prevent you from travelling into another town where you might find work, and any time some radical group resorted to violence, every displaced person would be targetted with violence, have their homes demolished, and food supplies cut off. And just for fun, the british soldiers would take pot shots at the water tanks on top of your homes.

But of course, it would also be your fault.

That's a pretty simplistic way to look at the world, don't you think?

I'm sure if you gave that some serious thought, you'd realize how completely wrong you are.

That idea ranks up there with "they hate us for our freedoms".

If that were the case, why haven't the Iranians started with the 25,000 persian jews living in Tehran who have a representative in the Iranian parliament?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_Jews

The current Jewish population of Iran is about 25,000,[3][4][5] though estimates vary. Notable population centers include Tehran, Isfahan, and Shiraz. Historically, Jews maintained a presence in many more Iranian cities, and Jews are protected in the Iranian constitution.[3] Iran supports one of the two largest Jewish populations of any Muslim-majority country (the other being Turkey),[6].

Given that the IRA were being openly funded from NY and Boston, supplied with weapons by Qaddafi, sheltered by the authorities in Eire and took spiritual leadership from a foreign religious leader, a Global War on Terror would have been more than justified.

Don't forget "You're either with us, or you're with the terrorists"

Ask the Brits about their experience of internment and whether it worked...

Hamas will not stop till Israel is destroyed and all the Jews are killed. That is their mission statement. The people can be martyrs in the cause of destroying Israel. That is their strategy. 60 years of peace accords has come to nothing and future accords will come to nothing till that goal is achieved. The People of Palestine endorse Hamas because of the humanitarian efforts BUT Hamas leaders are USING them as martyrs as political capital everytime Israel kills women, children and innocent bystanders. The Blood is on THEIR hands as much as it is on Israels.

They are both terrorists and neither deserves any respect.
Both could have achieved far better results by means of peaceful protests. So far, most of the Hamas protests around the world have turned ugly. There's one in DC today, so lets see how that goes.

I'm no fan of Hamas or Hezbollah, but the way Israel takes it out on the Palestinian populace only rallies average Palestinians to these thugs. Do you think German people would have supported the Nazis if things hadn't been so dire in Germany following WWI? The German people felt victimized by France and England following the war because of the reparations.

Israel is making the same mistake as the French and British did. They are creating a dire economic and security situation in Gaza that only strengthens Hamas.

Then it should be obvious that attempting to shell, bomb, starve, imprison and impoverish the Palestinians into submission is a strategy that's failed over the last 60 years.

If we'd spend more of the money we've used as military subsidies to Israel on building a real future, not a fake future as vassals in open prisons spread around the border, then we wouldn't have this problem.

The core problem is that Israel doesn't seems to want peace, it seems to want expansion and ethnic/religious dominance - like Serbia with beaches. If its loses its special victim status in the US, it will become another little backwater economy - a Cyprus, Greece or Slovenia.

Israel is its own worst enemy and its inability to form governments without including some of the world's craziest, fundamentalist, religious parties in coalitions will keep dragging it into destructive and indecisive wars.

All of Israel's neighbors could come to terms with them - but only if there's fairness for the Palestinians who are also a challenge for them (Jordan and Lebanon never asked to be overwhelmed by refugees) and a real set of security guarantees for the region.

Some of the other countries in the region, such as Iran, just want to get more than their fair share of attention and meddle to distract their own people from more serious problems, All we do by prolonging the situation is play into their hands and continue the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Provide the Palestinians with a real alternative and they'll take it.

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Jews, Arabs still fighting

MIDDLE EAST — Jews and Arabs ignored calls from the UN to cease hostilities in the Gaza region today, preferring to continue the war they've been fighting for the last eleventy-million years, instead.

"Jews and Arabs are mortal enemies that have been fighting since approximately 1,093,812 BC," said Al-Hussein Al-Zanzibar. "There can be no peace as long as Jews have the audacity to continue living on the same planet as us."

Jewish lawmakers, looking over the cease fire proposal from the UN, winked and nudged each other, saying, "We'll give it a half-second of consideration before we go back to doing what we've done since the Ice Age."

Western nations are stunned, STUNNED, that a request from the UN to put an end to the last one hundred million trillion years of Jew/Arab hostilities was blatantly ignored.

"This war will not be over soon," said David Weinstein, who joined the Israeli army while still in the womb during the second trimester. "Just the thought of them even DARING to live in their poor, filthy mud huts in abject poverty is an insult to our merciful and insanely bloodthirsty God. I could not wait to be born so I could claim an Arab beard for my trophy, in accordance with our Rites of Manhood."

More as it develops.

The Germans kill the Jews and the Jews kill the Arabs and the Arabs kill the hostages and that is the news. Is there any wonder why the monkeys confused?

Israel will eventually give in under the UN and US pressure but Hamas will never stop fighting as it doesn't recognize the existense of the State of Israel and want it to be wiped out:

I'm not saying Hamas isn't seriously fucked up. But Israel is making Israel the enemy of average Palestinians. Hamas is rallying these people right now. Israel needs to stop playing Hamas's game.

Israel is in a vicious circle. Eventually they'll withdraw and Hamas will start shooting again. Tnen few years (months?) later Israel will get fed up again and...
There is no way out.

actually there is

Take a line from the northern edge of Gaza, roughly south east until you hit the south western corner of the West Bank at Lahav - just north of the 334, Sderot, Ruhama, Beit Kama and Lahav

South and west of the new border becomes a sustainable contiguous Palestinian nation - Israeli nationals can either stay or relocate

North and east of the new border becomes Israel

Israeli settlements on the west bank are dismantled

Jerusalem becomes a unitary authority, distinct from both Israel and Palestine, under UN protection

The Golan returns to Syria, Shebaa farms return to Lebanon - both become civilian only DMZ with a 20 mile additional civilian DMZ on each side

Israel gives up its nuclear weapons in return from US and European security guarantees. Palestine liekwise gets security guarantees against Israeli incursions.

Palestinians and their families in the Lebanon have the right to stay in Lebanon or return to either Israel or the new Palestinian state with land grants in either.

See - its easy

I agree that Jerusalem should become an international city (not necessarily under UN authority), but the Israelis would never agree to that.

1. Nationhood and Jerusalem. Israel became a nation in 1312 BCE, Two
thousand years before the rise of Islam.

2. Arab refugees in Israel began identifying themselves as part of a
Palestinian people in 1967, two decades after the establishment of the
modern State of Israel.

3. Since the Jewish conquest in 1272 BCE, the Jews have had dominion
over the land for one thousand years with a continuous presence in the
land for the past 3,300 years.

4. The only Arab dominion since the conquest in 635 CE lasted no more
than 22 years.

5. For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital
Jerusalem has never been the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity.
Even when the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem, they never sought to make
it their capital, and Arab leaders did not come to visit.

6. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in Tanach, the Jewish Holy
Scriptures. Jerusalem is not mentioned once in the Koran.

7. King David founded the city of Jerusalem. Mohammed never came to
Jerusalem.

8. Jews pray facing Jerusalem. Muslims pray with their backs toward
Jerusalem.

9. Arab and Jewish Refugees: in 1948 the Arab refugees were encouraged
to leave Israel by Arab leaders promising to purge the land of Jews.
Sixty-eight percent left without ever seeing an Israeli soldier.

10. The Jewish refugees were forced to flee from Arab lands due to Arab
brutality, persecution and pogroms.

11. The number of Arab refugees who left Israel in 1948 is estimated
to be around 630,000. The number of Jewish refugees from Arab
lands is estimated to be the same.

12. Arab refugees were INTENTIONALLY not absorbed or integrated into
the Arab la nds to which they fled, despite the vast Arab territory.
Out of the 100,000,000 refugees since World War II, theirs is the only
refugee group in the world that has never been absorbed or integrated
into their own people's lands. Jewish refugees were completely
absorbed into Israel, a country no larger than the state of New Jersey.

13. The Arab-Israeli Conflict: the Arabs are represented by eight
separate nations, not including the Palestinians. There is only one
Jewish nation. The Arab nations initiated all five wars and lost.
Israel defended itself each time and won.

14. The PLO's Charter still calls for the destruction of the State of
Israel. Israel has given the Palestinians most of the West Bank land,
autonomy under the Palestinian Authority, and has supplied them.

15. Under Jordanian rule, Jewish holy sites were desecrated and the
Jews were denied access to places of worship. Under Israeli rule, all
Muslim and Christian sites have been preserved and made accessible to
people of all faiths.

16. The UN Record on Israel and the Arabs: of the 175 Security Council
resolutions passed before 1990, 97 were directed against Israel.

17. Of the 690 General Assembly resolutions voted on before 1990, 429
were directed against Israel.

18. The UN was silent while 58 Jerusalem Synagogues were destroyed by
the Jordanians.

19. The UN was silent while the Jordanians systematically desecrated
the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives.

20. The UN was silent while the Jordanians enforced an apartheid-like
a policy of preventing Jews from visiting the Temple Mount and the
Western Wall.

Muslims pray facing Mecca. Whether their backs are toward Jerusalem or not totally depends on their geographic location.

This was a great post - its a construct that suggests that the seeds of Israel's destruction are implicit in its rationale. It shows exactly why

1) the US is misguided in its support for Israel and the idea of a theocracy imposed by force and immigration
2) the Israeli experiment of religious monoculture at the barrel of a gun is doomed to failure

You have to love arguments that boil down to:

- we were in charge thousands of years ago
- God says it's ours
- The UN is mean to us
- Moslems point the wrong way
- those damned arabs should have gone to live in the desert like the others
- Just try and stop us

Its like listening to the Serbs whine about the 1500's or the Russian's throw their toys around when no-one listens to them or Osama talk about the Caliphate

You have to focus on a time frame living memory, not religious myths.

Since the late 40's European Jewish immigrants have invaded and continued, with explicit support and funding of us, the US taxpayer, to forcibly subdue the indigenous population.

The only time that the Israeli government has compromised on anything is when they've been forced to - by international pressure, by internal conflict or by demographic imperatives

Why am I paying so that a Russian family can emigrate, be supported by the Israeli government to take over someone else's farm, seize all the available water and generally act like thugs?

During the cold war, Israel was a marginally useful destabilizing tool for us in the region, but the cold war is long gone.

Frankly, normally I don't give a damn who slaughters who - especially if its a 'my god's bigger than your god' spat - but Israel's behavior is dangerous and continues to be against the strategic interests of the US and its real allies.

Some of your "facts" are marginally tenable, at best.

You forget about the Diaspora. You forget that the Temple Mount was destroyed and the al aksa mosque was built on it's ruins.

Mohammed "rode a silver stallion into Heaven" from this mosque.

Israel ceased to exist in the early part of the common era, and the tribes spread far and wide.

Most of what you cite are tales and parables in religious texts, much like the tales and parables of the earth being 6,000 years old and man walking the earth at the same time as dinasaurs.

Israel will find a two-state solution once Hamas is marginialized. It is their only hope of long-term survival. In the coming years, arabs will outnumber Jews in the state of Israel. They would either have to abandon democracy or fire up some gas chambers to maintain power in such drastically changing demoraphics. Plus, They, the US, Europe and most Arab nations recognize Fatah, can work with their secular, nationaistic motives, and will not survive a long struggle against a militant religious group that is demographically increasing in size through higher birthrates. (hamas and the palestinians that continue to become supporters each time Israel strikes out at Hamas.)

dickwad. Don't tell my girlfriend about my blow up doll.

6am is the end of the nightshift for nurses at Bles, Gorman, and CCC.

I love waiting until about 7:30, when my best friend comes home and I cook her 5 scrambled eggs, and then we spend the next two hours undressing, taking a shower and then going to bed.

Yeah, I do sometimes do enjoy a little masturbation fantasy with pictures of her, as she does the same with pictures of me.

In fact, I've got about 3 hours before I can pick her up outside the pasqueralla entrance. I might just strip down and wear a bathrobe, and she promised to wear scrubs with no underwear or bra underneath. We might even drive up Macarthur past Sibley, and park on the side of the road and get a little funky.

If I have to, I'll bring a doll into the equation.

No, wait. Neither of us need dolls. We adore each other, and we're going to fuck and suck and have a good time because we actually enjoy sex and we have figured out how to work out our conflicting schedules to make for some awesome sexual adventures.

if you observe hamas supporters approaching people, report it to the local police. Get a description of the individuals, clothing, vehicles, etc. The local police can respond the fastest, then they will pass the information on to the proper investigative groups. HAMAS is a terrorist organization, and if you think that they will not bring terrorist acts to CONUS, you are mistaken. Don't ignore these activities, take action.
