Nova firearms broken into and guns stolen

Is the owner some sort of idiot. First he gets hammered by the local community regarding the proximity to a school zone then he monitors his own alarm and then I assume does not have the place very secure with burglar bars or high security doors. What a dope.

You would think that a gun shop owner would be smart enough to secure his guns but no. This just goes to prove that most pro gun people are borderline mentally retarded.

You have no clue what was or what was not done. Many properly secured places still are broken into.

But like a good dumbshit that won't stop you from babbling.

There is absolutely no reason a door to a gun shop should not be nearly impossible to open unless the owner is a cheap ass. From the article he monitored his own alarm system so my theory is probably correct. Most gun shops are barred up like jails.

It also says that "Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm." Because he may monitor it, doesn't mean that he's the ONLY one monitoring it. When my business alarm goes of I get notified as well as police/fire.

Again, you have no clue what was or wasn't done.

Banks and armories are broken into. I guess they aren't 'secure' either.

You have zero knowledge of how secure or not the place was you dope.

16 guns taken from Worcester U.S. Army Reserve

Updated: Nov 15, 2015 - 3:38 PM

WORCESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Investigators are searching for six rifles and 10 pistols stolen from a U.S. Army Reserve armory in Worcester last weekend.

Surveillance images obtained by FOX25 show an unknown man near the Lincoln Stoddard Army Reserve Center, standing beside a dark BMW hatchback with sport rims.

The break-in occurred sometime between 6 p.m., on Saturday and 1 a.m., on Sunday, at the Lake Ave. facility, Worcester City Manager Edward Augustus, Jr., said in a statement Monday.

The Worcester Fire Department responded to the facility hours later, after an armory employee reported smoke and signs of a burglary, Augustus said.

The armory, which is surrounded by a barbed-wire fence, is on a main road beside a hospital and other buildings.

Worcester police are increasing their patrols in "key locations" around the city as a precaution, Augustus said.

Investigators walked the perimeter of the facility on Sunday night, combing the area and taking pictures.

Hank Shaw, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Boston office, told reporters at a news conference regarding local security in the wake of the Paris terror attacks that the Worcester burglary does not appear to be related to terrorism.

"As we get a better indication as to what actually happened, there's nothing at this point in time that would tie this to any specific threat or anything else at this point," Shaw said.

Gov. Charlie Baker said on Monday he is concerned the high-power weapons are still unaccounted for.

"I'm especially concerned about it," Baker said. "Separate and apart from anything that has to do with terrorism, I'm just concerned about the fact that some high-caliber weapons were stolen from a military facility in the first place."

Just more unsecured fire arms. And WTF was the owner doing "responding?" Another Lone Ranger vigilante who want to be "Johnny hero" in the news?

How about calling the police?

The owner was monitoring the alarm system and responded to the location when it activated. The rear door was found damaged and two handguns were missing from inside the store.

The suspect fled the area in an unknown vehicle.

Police/fire respond based on an alarm. You don't have to call them. The alarm or a monitoring company does directly.

An owner/rep typically also responds to meet them there to see what's up and/or to turn off a false alarm.

That's the way that it works in the real world outside of your mom's basement.

WTF? You think that he's just going to roll over and go back to sleep?

Christ you people are some dumb fuckers. lol

Only took two guns? sheesh amatures.

Why only two. I've been in the store and there are alot more than two guns.

So the questions thats not being asked, What made these two guns special. Did the folks at the store not secure those two fireamrs like they did all the others?

Jeeesssss.

So many amateurs here.

As for monitoring alarms, I have had them set up where I am notified and if needed I would contact the police or fire department. Kind of depends on the situation. Also many alarm monitoring options these days can and will also notify you directly when the alarm is triggered before the monitoring company contacts you.

This way if a CO alarm goes off after hours or there is heavy wind and storms I could make a decision if I needed to make a phone call. Given the place is also nothing more than a old house, not sure how secure the doors and windows are.

If only 2 guns were taken this is not so bad, but not so good either. Wonder if these were secured like the rest or somehow not as secure.

This likely will not be the last breaking or attempted break in.

Hopefully they also have some cameras and do a better job securing things.

Agreed, Criminals know that place is any easy target to smash and grab, they'll be back over and over now.

The place needs to do a FAR better job of securing it's firearms.

Anyone know where Vicky and the kids are lately.

Would love to know if she took action and moved her kids to another school or if they still go to Franklin Sherman.

Exactly, this guy is a petty gas station robber. NoVA firearms needs to look into high security doors. look at some of these organized crime units that go up and down the east coast wiping out businesses, NOVA is lucky some crack head broke in and left a trail of mouse crumbs back to his trailer park.

Just a month ago they were preaching how they take all the safety measures to ensure guns would not be stolen. lol

Assuming these guns are returned to NOVA Firearms, who would want to buy them once they have been listed as stolen an and possibly used in a crime.

Like anything, once they get reported stolen, I bet you can NEVER get the serial numbers out of some database.

I can see it now.

Gun Owner - Yes officer I have a valid Concealed Carry Permit and I purchased this gun from a local gun shop.

Officer - Ok, let me take the gun while we talk, I want to run the serial number as SOP.

Gun Owner - No problem officer, it is totally legit.

Officer - Sir, please step over here and put your hands behind you back, click, click as the cuffs go on.

Gun Owner - There must be some mistake, I bought the gun legally.

Officer - Tell it to the judge!

Forgot Anthony Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin.

I recall something about here being allowed to work part time at a very high salary and something to do with double dipping.
