ISIS started when Obama prematurely pulled out of Iraq and Aghanistan. Became emboldened when he dithered over red lines in Syria. Grew as he portrayed American weakness to the world.

It's interesting to me that there are people who actually say things like Democrats hate religion when that is so far off base.
I'm an Independent myself, but I know both folks who lean to the right and folks who lean to the left. When I visit my liberal friends, we talk about news, holidays, God, books, movies, food, family events, etc. We never talk about folks who have other political views.
When I visit my more conservative friends, all they talk about is "crazy libs." Why all the unsolicited hate? This tone doesn't sound very Christian to me.

Fact is that as I said participation rates for older age groups is UP. Greatly UP. People are working longer. As a group they also begin to die off more rapidly after about mid-50s so they are decreasingly counted in the population base to be a factor in the rate.
The primary gap in the participation rate is not at the higher end of the age range. It's mostly at the opposite end among younger workers.

Boomers retiring is not what's driving the gap in participation. They only account for about 1/3 of the effect (and less than earlier anticipated). Boomers were significant mostly relative to what came before, not after. They no longer are the dominant group in the population and are quickly declining as they die off. The population age 55-75 now is about 58.2 million. The potential working population from 15-30 is 64.7 million. If you extend that to age 35 it's about another 20 million at 84.7.
In fact, they are staying in the workforce longer and, on a relative basis they are helping to support the numbers with higher participation rates. The primary gap is at the younger end. The larger issue is that, for a variety of reason, we are not creating sufficient new jobs (and quality jobs) for those entering the workforce. The same trends are seen in the unemployment data.
