Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
I know Westfield's supposed to be the hookup, but McLean had people in the news last night claiming that was Heroin central and then that kid died in Vienna.
Also Madison had the Heroin dealer on staff. . . what's going on with this?
To answer your questions about the Langley students, no they were not heroin related in the slightest, as I attend Langley and this is already knowledge. As far as other heroin incidences, it is what it is. Once that metro goes up, Tysons will turn into a ghetto, followed by Vienna, and eventually, McLean. Tysons will go down to a ghetto status earlier, say within 5 years. Mclean might take longer, maybe 10-15 years, but it will deteriorate in quality if they expand the bus routes (bound to happen). Great falls, I believe, is safe for now. Expect the drugs to grow. This was bound to happen.

It's not the people that own the businesses that are going to be causing the increase in crime., it's the friendly "customers" that come from DC and Maryland.

Sorry, people of the silver line....once the metro is open, more and more criminals will be making their way over to your rich neighborhoods to plunder. Why do you think they come out here? Because there is NOTHING for them to steal in PG/DC (mostly everyone is poor there, save a few pockets).
Common sense...they go where the money is....just like all those mattress stores and banks....to ply their trade.
It;s not like companies are hiring these men for jobs- so they do what they have to to survive. Not condoning it....but I understand...like chris rock said. You have to do what you must to survive in this cold world. Want him to stop stealing? Give him a job. Want to be discriminating and not even give a minority person (of ANY race, not just Black) a chance? Well, this is what you get. If you had honest jobs, a majority of them WOULD GLADLY work and leave the"life" behind. But they don't even get a chance because the moment they walk up to the interview and HR sees that they're black...the interview is over. Repeat that 100x and see how you would feel if you had a baby and girl/wife at home to feed. Your esteem takes a hit, and when you see your brother come up with easy money....
.... Like I said I don't condone it...but I understand.

Sorry, I meant to say---where THEY live everyone is poor. Sorry I didn't mention the gentrification.
I'm sorry to agree that once the metro opens at Tysons, the area will deteriorate. I have had conversations with others who agree and will stop going to Tysons also. We all agree the area will become less safe.
