Springfield Man Charged with Sex Offenses

West Springfield Police District – An ongoing investigation resulted in the arrest Tuesday of Patrick Wietz, 24, of 9246 Rockefeller Lane. Wietz was charged with attempting to take indecent liberties with children under 15 years old and with the use of communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children.

Wietz has been employed as an IT specialist by the Fairfax County Public School system full-time for approximately two years.

The investigation continues.

the charges posted very unspecific.

defaming somone before a trial by publicly IS illegal unless it is certain facts (that the judge is allowing the accusation, or anything that is indisputable at court: simply indisputable).

did he get a blowjob? doesn't say. did he improperly influence minors? i imagine so but to what degree?

there is allot disputable. the charge is almost null of charges except of mere communication. attampting? by who's call the prosecutor's or the girls or parents? these fairfax county people disgust me they are so bad at law.

did the partents file a complaint? this is important becauase legally the matter varies greatly if he pre-dates a daughter to impregnate at that age with a father that would not allow

the age diff is < 10 yrs and the girls past the age when they begin willing sex

2) ABA rules are prosecutors do not defame defendants before a trial

First he wasn't chief of anything. Second the minimum salary for this position is $64,503. The position starts at the Unified Scale, 260 days of the grade 23, step 3. The salary of 60,216 is not even on the Unified Staff, 260 day scale.

Think for a second. Maybe the salary posted was from old information? The pay scale might reflect $64,503 today, but he could have easily been hired at the earlier indicated rate.

That is that salary for the US 23 step 3 as of December 31, 2013. He was arrested in February. His salary as of his arrest would have been a minimum of $64,503. Those scales get change once a year when the budget goes into affect.

The $60,216 was said to be the result of a FOIA request. This kinda shows that FCPS does not really take those request seriously. To check my numbers you can go to www.fcps.edu, click on the Employees button on the brick colored ribbon at the top of the page, then click on Salary Services under Current Employees in the right hand column, under What We Offer click on Salary Scales, under the third group of scales called Administrative And Support Unified Salary Scales you will see the .pdfs that will tell you the salaries. Mr. Wietz was hired as a grade 23 step 3. He may have gotten a step increase depending on the budgets of the past few years. I don't think you will find $60,216 as a salary in the grade 23.

Rumor has it that he is still employed by FCPS.

This man is sick. I was previously arrested for missing a traffic court case. He is in Fairfax county jail. He tells elaborate lies about his life. Where he worked. Staying that his charges were because he caught someone messaging a child and for blamed. He was very strange. And I was places in the basic cushy side of the jail with tv in common areas and honestly it disnt even Sean like jail. After finding this out I've come to believe that he is criminally insane. Hes a pig. Has I k own this I would have probably beat the sick out of him.

I was friends with him back in high school and am extremely surprised when i heard this happened. Didn't seem in his character, i'm not saying he is innocent though.

He got the job because he voluntarily helped the school pretty much through out high school to set up their computers and network and programs and such, so that they didn't have to hire an IT guy. He worked with another teacher/IT guy all the time before they hired them.

He didn't make alot of money, he use to live in his mothers basement. His title was purely that. I doubt he made more than 30k a year.

After reading the post about the guy that met him in prison.

He was definitely a pathological lier. Literally couldn't go an hour without him talking about some car he bought but he has parked at someone elses house or something along those lines.

What high school did he go to? Was that also where he worked?

I know it's an old thread, but I had to comment that every time I read about guys in the IT field getting caught for things like pedophilia, it gives such a bad name to everyone else in the industry. The problem is the vast majority of people working in computers look like that guy (also like the Morono pedophile) and have absolutely no social skills. Really, it is so unfortunate that ninety-nine percent of them look and act like this in a field that requires absolute trust.

I was locked up in fairfax with this guy. He is def a pathological liar and sick in the head. I have a daughter that attends fairfax county schools and if i had known this prior i might still be in there for hurting him. He is def perverted and i thought he was gay for sure. He was released in Dec. 2015 so he is out and about be careful.
