300+ point swings every day. One day down 350, next day up 400. Been that way now for a couple weeks.

Day traders are losing their shirts as always.

If you have to ask then you shouldn't be playing in the market.

For your info Einstein I'm not in stocks. All my investments are in cash, gold, and real estate. I'm too close to retirement to play at the Wall St casino.

Traders making profits off the swings. I think there are some new trading programs that are f'n with the markets. They buy the stocks at the midday afternoon lows and then trade them off the next morning for profits.

I've made over $7,000 the last couple of days doing the same.

You obviously haven't a clue how to play the market. I've made over $200,000 since last Wednesday.

I'm just using profits from past gains. I'm already up about $15,000 in the last two weeks using profits re-invested. That's cash in hand. No matter what I'll have the "freebie $15,000 cash" in the bank from last week.

I don't have enough cash right now to play in the $200,000 games.

They do this every couple years. It's pure collusion. Those I the inside know if it's going to go up a bunch or down a bunch and make a ton of money off the volatility. In the end, the market ends up pretty much the same as where it started. It really sucks. Those that control the money, make money and since value is a constant, it's the average American that gets screwed in their 401ks. But then again, no one complains that they lost 3 grand of their 150k that they weren't going to spend for 20 years anyway.

Cash and gold LOL! Have fun losing money in real dollars!

Even if you're close to retirement it's okay to have some stocks. Vanguard Wellesley is my conservative fund of choice.
