Metrorail late-night service for pre-season football Thursday night 9/3 (CANCELLED)
UPDATED 8/31/2015
The event organizer has opted to cancel the additional hour of service for this game. Metrorail will close at the normally scheduled time.
Last trains depart Largo Town Center:
Silver Line to Wiehle-Reston East at 11:11 p.m.
Blue Line to Franconia-Springfield at 11:24 p.m.
Last trains depart Morgan Boulevard:
Silver Line to Wiehle-Reston East at 11:14 p.m.
Blue Line to Franconia-Springfield at 11:27 p.m.
Blue Line to Largo Town Center at 12:32 a.m.

Rah-rah-sis-boom-bah! It's like they expect that Metro should eat the cost of providing extra hours of service. Maybe they could if they had the funding they need through a dedicated regional tax. Can't drive a Cadillac at the price of a Yugo.

Great system! If I take metro, I am charged for the honor. If I don't take metro, I am charged for the privilege of not taking metro. Yet metro always runs at a net loss. How is this possible?
