Did Old Book Company in McLean close or move?

Drove by other night and site vacated. Been there 10+ years. Another used book store bites the dust? that leaves just the one in Arlington if it's still open. the lady who ran that one said they were getting ready to shut down after all these years. That leaves just 2 used book stores in Northern Virginia. McKays and the antiquarian book store in downtown Manassas.

Reston's used book store is still open.

Besides, the Second Story Books warehouse in Rockville is used book nirvana. Just go there.

Bookhouse in Arlington is still open for at least another year.
Normal hours are Tue-Sun 1-6PM
Never hurts to call ahead as the owner is 83 years old and sometime can't make it in.

It moved!
I spoke with the owner before Christmas 2013 and they were just about to move. They're staying in McLean. I think they were moving to an historical and/or parks site.
Maybe... near Evans Farm. Maybe at the Claude Moore Colonial Farm? I can't remember the details.

But the owner is definitely keeping the business going. Perhaps you could contact him--the info is here

Book Bank on King St. in Old Town Alexandria is still going strong after nearly 14 years.
