FCPD Chopper Finds Freezing Man in Wooded Area
http://fairfaxcity.patch.com/groups/police-and-fire/p/video-fcpd-chopper-finds-freezing-man-in-wooded-area-fairfaxcity

Fairfax County police flight officers using heat-seeking radar located a distraught, wounded man on a frigid January afternoon in Fairfax County, in a video released Tuesday by FCPD. Police did not give the exact location of the rescue.

They quickly directed patrol officers to the man's location and, likely this timely response saved his life, according to FCPD.

Watch the rescue from the FCPD chopper and their rescue coordination with officers on the ground

A dog wouldn't cost nearly enough money. But really, they saved a mans life, so I'm happy they spent did.

Saved his life? What was wrong with him? He walked over to the cops, why wouldn't he walk 30 yards up to a house if he was in trouble?

Probably, if not I would at least call for help.

Bear Grylss should do a Fairfax County episode.

It's not like Fairfax is a densely populated suburb or anything..

Why would they send a dog in the first place? Is it illegal to be in the woods? Can K9 dogs perform lifesaving techniques?

You know what I meant, asshole. If he was capable of walking, why didn't he walk to safety? How was he injured? Why did they decide to send a helicopter up after him?

This doesn't sound strange to you? Guy in the woods just yards from a suburban neighborhood needing a helicopter search? Why was he distraught in someone's backyard?

Maybe the guy was confronted by an armed citizen while breaking into his/her home or vehicle. Then fled into the woods. ???.

Remember yesterday I posted about the helicopter and called the police. They said they it wasn't there helicopter. So it was on channel 4 and on Chantilly Patch. Hello, we are to have confidence in the police? I called them because who wants to walk their dog not knowing what is going on and if we are safe. Maybe the dispatcher I talked to didn't know what was going on but give me a break. Aren't they supposed to be keeping us citizens informed especially if we are worried about our own safety.

It is against the law to be unattractive or to go for a hike in the woods without permission in Fairfax County.

Break these laws and you will have a multi-million helicopter hovering over you with Argos II Stratocars enroute to your location.

Obey all laws, citizen.

Maybe the guy stabbed or shot himself because he is a nut case trying to kill himself. Maybe he broke into a house and was shot by homeowner and ran into the woods to hide. Maybe he attacked a woman trying to kill her but got "wounded" before running into the woods. Maybe its none of these. Just maybe....

No, you meant that he should have come out of the woods on a late afternoon/twilight, and knocked on some random person's door.

A local contractor has been hiring illegals and then murdering them at the end of the job to avoid paying them. FCPD got a tip that the bodies were buried at that location. Fairfax 1 was sent to get some photos of the scene and saw the contractor trying to dispose of the bodies. Unfortunately for the contractor, he had injured himself with a chain saw, rendering him unable to get clear of the scene 5 minutes prior to the arrival of Fairfax 1.

Many contractors have opted to go this route vs paying the labors for higher profit margins. The contractors feel that the undocumented illegals are easy prey since limited people know they are here.

Maybe we should invest money in "Spaying" the illegals in Northern VA to prevent them from reproducing and stealing our cars. (Instead of deer hitting them).
