Gonna be another bad week for FCPS (and not the weather!)

Fairfax County Public Schools has discovered the administration mistakenly hired seven employees who were convicted felons, including a high school teacher who was once part of an international drug ring.

Wonder how many more are "not yet discovered".

I'm guessing the teachers union will insist their pension are still valid!

A worse crime is that FCPS even had an opening for a "Peace Educator" and hired this fool. What the hell else does she have to do but sue after a year of being on administrative leave? Too much damned money floating around and not going to the right places.

Seems most of them got their act together. If you commited a crime like 20 years ago and haven't done anything since. Give them a break. I think they learned the lesson.

Wow. ALL seven of them straight up admitted that they were convicted felons---it's not like they tried to hide the fact, and the district hired them anyway, nice

what matters is that fcps can't even be bothered to check, so why wouldnt there be violent felons there too, as well as the people that actually admitted to their crime and took responsibility.

these people are not the problem, its the incompetence that has come to light because of them.
