What about the growing number of undocumented, illegal aliens moving in. When the Hell will our law enforcement do something about this!?!

This was an increase from 24% in 1991. 72% of the Latino offenders were not U.S. citizens. For Hispanic offenders sentenced in federal courts, 48% were immigration offenses and 37% drug offenses. One reason for the large increase in immigration offenses is that they exclusively fall under federal jurisdiction.

Law enforcement at the local level really can't do anything about it. The closest process that there was happened to be the rule of law implemented in Prince William county. If a vehicle was pulled over, the cops could run a check or see if they were here illegally. If so, they would then be detained and ICE would be called to pick them up and deport them.

The pause button - or should I say emergency brake? - was applied a few years back having counties with such policies stand down on them. Obama made sure they could no longer enforce them.

I too am outraged at these miscarriages of justice. Once again our Justice system has failed again.

While I'm not a fan of our "undocumented" friends from south of the border, those cases that you've mentioned are not murder. They're manslaughter. Keep in mind that they were their children, and losing a child to your own stupidity can't be an easy thing to deal with. You would really give hard time to a grieving mother? They got what they deserved. Unfortunately, the children didn't. But punishing the mother will accomplish nothing.

Sounds like someone needs some diversity training. You must not judge these people. Instead, you must respect their culture. Just because you don't rape and murder doesn't mean it's wrong for them. Celebrate the diversity.

Your analysis is very flawed, in the 2nd case, she admitted to lying and pleaded guilty to "Felony Murder" that is hardly manslaughter. I heard some people talk about the woman in the 1st story (Toddler being left in the car) not knowing any better because she was from another country. Oh really? Last time I heard, most of those countries that Hispanics come from are near the equator or are in a tropical environment, far hotter than here. I agree with the OP, there is definitely an acceptable double standard here. Our government and justice system are way out of control.

or if you have evidence it's red handed and can prove the county refuses to follow the law

Both women confessed to the crimes, as part of a plea bargain. So tell me again, why do they deserve mercy?
