The Sheriff was fine, I saw them put him on a strectcher. They made everyone leave and the detectives were coming as I pulled off...does not look good for the other party involved.

It was a contract employee that works in the Sample Demonstration crew. It's getting hard to get good employees. It's probably one of the women who cuts the cheese.

A bladed instrument justifies the shooting, but I have a hard time believing a taser didn't work on the female. I would be checking the videos from store cameras. Unless the woman was on drugs, the taser should have dropped her. Lots of questions to be answered on this.

A woman handing out pizza samples at a Virginia Costco was shot and killed by sheriff's deputies Wednesday afternoon after she began acting strangely and came at the officers with a weapon, authorities said.
A sheriff's deputy also was wounded in the leg, possibly by a ricochet. He is expected to recover.
The melee began at about 3 p.m., when store employees noticed the woman acting oddly at the Costco in Sterling, Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said. Witnesses said she seemed upset about the pizza she was handing out.
Deputies were called to the store to handle the disturbance.
After they arrived, the woman -- who works for a company that does sampling at Costco stores -- came at the officers with a weapon, which some witnesses said was a knife.
One officer tried to use a stun gun on the woman, but Chapman said the stun gun "did not work" and one of the deputies shot the woman fatally.
Chapman said the only shots fired were by one of the deputies.
Shoppers inside the store told News4 that they were evacuated in a rush. Nora Lateef said she was at the food court when she saw three deputies rush into the store and head toward the employee lounge, asking, "Where is Linda?"

It sounds like there was a confrontation between the sample-giver and her supervisor and other employees near the employee staff room at the front of the store. They called the cops. She left to the eatery section of the store. When she saw the cops head toward the employee room, she ran back to the back of the store in the direction of her sample station in the frozen foods. The cops gave chase and the last confrontation began.
Costco should've closed the entrance to the store. In the meantime, somebody should've started to move the customers out of the building until the cops arrived.

The kid who was killed was simply riding in a car with people who allegedly skipped on the bill. Police know they can shoot people and get away with it if they are "following proper procedure". They stack the rules of the game in their favor ahead of time. It works very well for them, not so much for the not-infrequent innocent victims.
In this case, there was an "armed person" who "presented a danger" and a cop is justified in shooting to kill. No thought or common sense required on his part, just follow "procedure" and blast away.

According to sources this woman was giving out food samples and became agitated by the numerous mooches who grabbed multiple samples and returned repeatedly for free food without making any purchases. She became unhinged and had to be put down.
