Can someone tell me what's the difference between Mark Warner and Ed Gillespie
Posted by: Not Ayn Rand ()

'Cause I sure can figure out.

Yea one got a D after his name and the other's got an R

But they're both dedicated to taking care of the 1%, protecting the big banks, cutting Social Security and Medicare, cutting veterans benefits, approving trade agreements that ship American jobs overseas, NSA spying, the renewing the Patriot Act, proud members of the NRA, bloated Defense spending.

Seriously, is there a dime's worth of difference between these two suits?

The difference is that Warner will win by a double digit margin and Gillespie will not win at all.

Warner is definitely a corporate whore, not to mention a warmonger. He is a total fraud as a Democrat, that's for sure. Whenever I hear him described as popular, I always wonder with whom. I'll be surprised if he wins.

Sen. Mark Warner is a backslider. He echoed Obama's "if you like your healthcare insurer, you can keep them" statement. Then, when this proved to not be true, or an option, Warner didn't come out an apologize for his statement, nor did he challenge Obama for making such a statement. Sen. Warner is just the water boy for Obama.

He needs to go. Worth $250+ million dollars ... he's out of touch with the typical Virginia citizen.

The difference is Warner was a beloved Governor responsible for the creation of jobs and an expansion of a robust middle class in Virginia.

Gillispie is a slimeball corrupt main Republican fund raiser. That's about all he is.

During Warner's time in office, jobs fell in Virginia and the middle class shrank.

But he did help build 3 prisons in far SW Virginia that stand empty now.

He also had a failed transportation referendum.

Did he actually accomplish anything, other than sponsor a Nascar team?

Warner had a few successes ... that flopped.

1) He successfully was able to close a large number of the DMV offices ... only to see massive failure in that decision. Virginia has a shortage of DMV offices and closing a large number of them down wasn't exactly a good decision.

2) Warner was also successful at closing many of Virginia's rest stops. Again, another failure. The rest stops had to be reopened.

Sen. Warner is a lot like Obama. Look how Obama politicized the cuts during the government shutdown. Refused to let veterans into the various memorials dedicated to our U.S. vets. Also, look at how Obama politicized the sequester. Tried to instill fear in everyone's eyes. But, a massive failure on his part. This is what Warner's goal was when selecting higher profile areas such as the rest stops and the DMV. Warner's only intent was to make the cuts highly visible where the largest impact would fall.

I'm sorry, the Republican Party is corrupt enough for me to have their main fund raiser representing my state in the Senate.

This man Gillespie is literally the middle man that bring big money to the Republican Party. He's the snake that has all the connections with billionaires and millionaires that corrupts GOP at it's beginning point.

He is the liaison of corruption. The main guy. No ones got anything on this guy. He will sell your ass to his billionaire buddies better than you can imagine.

If you want garbage like that representing your state. You deserve what you vote for.

LOL! Says the Terry "Big Money" McAuliffe supporter.

Terry makes Gillespie look like a sandlot player.

And Warner is one of those billionaires who used his political connections to enrich himself..

And Mark warner will be hard to beat, Who is Gillespie?? Never heard of him,and what I have heard I'm lukewarm. Not a GOP a party insider just a voter who supports them. My biggest bitch with Warner is that he is a Democrat and as such votes with them, If he voted his own way I could support him. I think he was a good governor. Yes hes rich but that has kept him out of scandles like McDonnell and McAuliffe.

If Warner can come out againt Obama Care, If he will continue to support the 2nd admentment I could support him. But that would mean voting against the Dem Party line and I dont think he will do that. Sadly I dont see any viable GOP runners. I think ..gasp..to some of you that Tom Davis would be a good canidate, US Congress, Fairfax Co supv, BOS chair. moderate, but the shit heads running the GOP will want another lousy canidate like Cooch who I voted for and say he was a lousy canidate because he could not win with McDonnells baggage, and The abortion thing making women hate him, Tom Davis has none of the above, He would be a good canidate because in reality who really has a chance against Warner? With Davis I think it could be a toss up at least.

Jim Webb was indeed a good senator. Upon his departure from the senate, he indicated his biggest regret was Obamacare. He was truly a "one-of-a-kind" Democrat, and could think for himself, rather than having the party to tell him how he should think.

You fail to realize what my posts were pointing out. In 2012, the Democrats used the line "out of touch" when talking about Mitt Romney and his $240 million dollars. But, when we have Sen. Mark Warner, who has a bit more net worth than Mitt Romney, if someone says "Mark Warner" is out of touch, people then jump to conclusions and claim that I'm saying Gillespie is a "man of the people."

Please attempt to keep up. You're falling quickly behind here.

Wasn't Warner tied up in McAuliffe's and Hillary's bother's visa-for-sale scheme? Seriously, we just elected the Clinton's #1 bag man as Governor.

Prince Mark was the #1 bag man for Wilder.

Gillespie's fundraising is not going to make a dent in that charcoal gray suit.

We are positioned to achieve great personal relations with the federal government especially if Hillary Clinton becomes president which will help development and contracts.

Electing Terry McAullife may have helped us secure the FBI Headquarters in Virginia, we'll see. Its in our interests to give our states electoral votes to Hillary Clinton and keep Democratic Senators based on projections.

For those worried about voting for Gillespie because of him being an insider, consider that he hasn't received the nomination yet and there are alternatives. For example, Shak Hill.

Also, hopefully, the person that gets the 11th district nomination will be able to send Gerry Connolly back home ... for good. It's an off year -- not a presidential election and less people will show up to vote a straight "D" ballot. It's in these "off" years where Gerry doesn't do as well.

I'm just as sick of republicans as I am the democrats. I won't vote for Gillespie. I won't vote for Warner either. They are two sides of the same coin.

However, I would vote for the biggest RINO there is to knock out Gerry Connelly. I wouldn't be voting for the opponent. It would be a straight vote against Connelly. Connelly is the one of the worst of the worst.

Bolling's career in politics is so over. He lost about half the republican base with his undermining of Cuccinelli. He might be able to win a congressional seat in the wealthy districts of Fairfax or VA Beach but he will never win a state-wide office. Guaranteed.
