This article is wholly non-persuasive.

The Klan aligned itself with government actors (i.e., then the Democratic Party) and others to demonize and threaten black citizens under the law. The Klan's fundamental objective was to enforce legal segregation and Jim Crow laws.

The Tea Party stands for a smaller government. Its objective does not center around implementing a legal regime to discriminate against blacks and other minority groups.

There is an argument to be made that having a smaller government would negatively impact minority citizens who rely to a greater extent on government based benefits, but that is wholly distinct from supporting a legal regime which discriminates under the color of law.

The Tea Party threatens the left, because dismantling a big government really threatens the status quo. Thus there is a considerable amount of hyperbole, such as seen in the article.

Of course, a debate over the size of government is legitimate. I am not sure ad hominem attacks are persuasive, however.

It had me fruitless. First of all he attacks and asserts the Andy Griffith show is less of now then from the point on from this review. This is just wrong.

Second, this rites of law passage when it's totally unneucessary ..sure I've got no clue what's been quoted about and don't need it to even make sense because it's wrong.
