No proof that gang rape in Rolling Stone article occurred at UVa frat, police say

By Brock Vergakis - Associated Press - Monday, January 12, 2015

Police said Monday that they’ve been unable to confirm that an alleged gang rape occurred at a University of Virginia fraternity house as described in a Rolling Stone article, and the school reinstated the group and its activities.

The University of Virginia said in a statement that the decision to reinstate Phi Kappa Psi was made after consulting with the Charlottesville Police Department. The Rolling Stone article described in graphic detail an alleged gang rape of a student at the Phi Kappa Psi house in 2012.

That frat was gang-raped by Rolling Stone and all the libnazis who vandalized their frat house. Hope they sue the shit out of Rolling Stone and the nasty man-hater who wrote the article.

This whole rape culture thing and DoE's response has made a mockery of due process. Notice how they re-instated the fraternity, meaning, they found them guilty and denied them their freedom to do what they were doing before and have now found them innocent. Feels like a page out of The Castle.

The whole thing about 8 dudes sitting around the room, and doing it atop the shards of glass from a broken glass table seemed unreal to me...say what you want about UVA or "rich kids" but you can't get 8 college kids together to say, throw a rock through a window, or something simple like that, without a few of them chickening out or spilling the beans.

8 college kids...Gang rape for hours on top of a broken glass table...during a crowded frat party? C'mon.

Also, that "Rugby Road" song...I had buddies that were died-in-the-wool fraternity guys there, and they said they never once heard that song being sung.

Is it very frightening that a woman's identity is kept silent, but not the accused...and does it seems there have been some fairly high profile instances of women attempting to capitalize on that...have there not?

Perhaps there should be a universal "gag order" in these cases...might actually promote "real" accusers coming forward who are otherwise afraid of the media circus, while protecting the accused...hmmmm?

The accuser has been outed, here and on other public websites. Is she back at UVA this semester?
