The whole thing about 8 dudes sitting around the room, and doing it atop the shards of glass from a broken glass table seemed unreal to me...say what you want about UVA or "rich kids" but you can't get 8 college kids together to say, throw a rock through a window, or something simple like that, without a few of them chickening out or spilling the beans.
8 college kids...Gang rape for hours on top of a broken glass table...during a crowded frat party? C'mon.
Also, that "Rugby Road" song...I had buddies that were died-in-the-wool fraternity guys there, and they said they never once heard that song being sung.
Is it very frightening that a woman's identity is kept silent, but not the accused...and does it seems there have been some fairly high profile instances of women attempting to capitalize on that...have there not?
Perhaps there should be a universal "gag order" in these cases...might actually promote "real" accusers coming forward who are otherwise afraid of the media circus, while protecting the accused...hmmmm?
