That was it.
Then I changed the channel.

Got great seats in the 200 section near 1st base. Did not pay more than face value for them.

Billy Idol, Gavin DeGraw, Lee Greenwood, F16 flyover, U.S. Army Chorus, pyrotechnics, great weather, good hockey game and the Caps won.

Took Metro, no issues, bit crowed but things move well, was not stuck at the Metro waiting for a train, got to the bottom of the platform, train rolled in, packed in and went on our way.

Overall a fun day with lots of great Caps fans, good entertainment and some good memories.

Not sure this will be any worse than the Winter Classic. Attendance was 43500 yesterday at Nats Stadium.

Went to Skins game with my son this season at FedEx, maybe not 45k attendance, but took the Silver line and had no issues. The walk down the narrow sidewalk is far worse than dealing with Metro.

Been to MANY Caps games at Verizon and have no issues there either, we usually drive and park near Constitution Ave and walk so we get cheaper parking and pull out of the parking garage and we are right on Constitution heading out of town.

My son is a good kid, it is not about what have I done for him lately. He is a student athlete and a fanatical sports fan, knows FAR more than I do about ALL sports. Knows the home teams, players, organizations, researches the visiting teams and fully appreciates all of our time together.

This is what it is all about. As a kid my father never took me to any sporting events and this was back in the Senators days!

What a game...great to watch and pretty much free of niggers, except for the Metro ride home.

Not worried about the kid at all. Good student, good person, good athlete and team player.

With his build and abs, the girls come running. He likely will be doing what Magic Mike did at some point or he will be a Sports Broadcaster at a minimum. Not too worried at he will do well in life.

15 years old, 6% body fat at 5'11" at this point and he has not really hit puberty hard.

He also has an older sister so he knows how bad things can get with drama and and girl stuff so he is not in too much of a hurry at this point anyway.

Doubt they will allow SRO on the field. The rink is already elevated above the field and Building/Occupancy limits are already factored in.

Do not think they will fill the field with spectators.

Even The Big House was only able to show a record attendance of about 5k over what the stated stadium capacity is listed at.

Maybe 3-4% more than "official" capacity.

Do not see how you will be able to increase a stadium capacity by over 25% and have anyone agree to it, much less a place for everyone.
