That's right folks, coming soon, the company that owns the Greenway will be going public, giving YOU a chance to buy stock in it. It's IPO is set for Mid-August.

Why does that matter? Share price is useless info without knowing the earnings that price is paying for. A $600 per share stock can be cheap compared to a $4 stock.

The OP is right, yes, Transurban is going public in the USA next year. In February 2015, you will be able to invest in the company and "own" the Dulles Greenway.

Transurban is associated with the HOT lanes on 95 and 495. They have been publicly held and listed on the Australia Securities Exchange for nearly 20- years. The Dulles Greenway is privately owned by the TRIP-II limited partnership, which is a completely different thing.
