Hi so theres a stretch of road on huntington st. that is in horrible shape while their working on the road. Manhole sticking out with very uneven pavemen. Theres also no warning signs. Well my ball joint and sway bars have given out due to this which is the route I have to use to go anywhere.
My question is if I can make Fairfax pay my repair bills?

Obviously no. What a dumbass. In any case, the state has maintenance responsibility for nearly all county roads. You'd have to go after VDOT. Good luck with that.

This agency would just take your word that it was their roads that screwed up your car. No proof, just your word. Then they just take the bill and send you a check? What fucking planet do you live on.

Pretty much the reason why my vehicle is still registered (5 years now) out of state.

Grow some balls and drive 5 mph through the bad area of roadway and if any assholes honk slow down to 1 mph.
In either case your vehicle will not be damaged by the condition of the road.

99% of all highways, roads and residential streets around here are owned by VDOT -- not the local government. Many roads around townhome, apartment, and condo complexes are privately owned by those associations.
