Back in 1986 I was working in Lansing Michigan and the Buick General Manager at the time brought GNX 001 into our building.
For those in the know, the word got around pretty quickly and a number of us were able to go down and check out GNX 001 in person and see the number badge on the dash. Not sure where 001 kept by GM for a Press vehicle. I think at the time the car maybe has less that 100 miles on it as it was just off the production line.

I actually had a 1986 Regal T Type that was blacked out that I purchased new back in the day. Had access to custom PROM's the brought the boost up to about 16 PSI and tweaked out the intercooler and a few other things. Fun car that would get close to 30 MPG on the highway and run less than 13 second 1/4 mile times in street trim.
