My Child Is Coughing a Lot....Enterovirus?

I'm a concerned parent with an asthmatic child who has been coughing more since coming back from school today...

Sometimes my child's asthma becomes aggravated but goes away, however after reading about enterovirus D68 a couple weeks ago I have been on edge....

I don't want to overreact, but I also don't want to wait until my son stops breathing and turns blue before taking him to a doctor...

I called our doctor but his office said there's no test for D68 except for the CDC - which evidently only will test a couple samples per city in order to keep the "confirmed cases" number down in headlines...

I did some research and have found that D68 has spread across 30 states.....Why isn't anyone being told and why can't our children be tested for it?????????

Right now, hay fever and other allergens are high but because of the rain we are having tonight and tomorrow, allergens should go back down. So if your child is coughing less tomorrow and the following day, it may just be severe allergens in the air. Also, when school starts, many illnesses start to spread like wildfire within the first few weeks (Lice, Strep, common cold, etc.) So just continue to monitor him and everything will be fine. If you feel as though he should go to the doctor, you will know when the right time is to go!

It's probably just a case of Ebola

Coming to FFU for medical advice is like Asking Sarah Palin a science question or Barbara Comstock an ethics question. You will not be getting any useful answers.

Let your child fight the virus. If it survives it will be stronger.

Also even if u take ur kid to the ER/doctor all they are gonna do is dope him up with a nebulizer. Just like go buy an inhaler and make him use it, it does almost the same thing. There are a fuck ton of sicknesses going around.

I hope you don't breed anymore. Your dna seems to produce defective children.

Buy a plastic bubble. Insert child. Lock in basement.

This is what happens when you vote for the America-hating, illegal-loving leftwing Democrats. It's your fault.

Same thing came up with my kid also with mild respiratory issues. Called our Dr. and they said make sure he is taking his inhaler and meds and bring him in if it continues and does not improve in a few days. He got better but I did note they were more cautious than usual and they asked to see him in a month regardless.

The cure is in the blood of illegal Honduran immigrants. They have immunity.

Drink their blood and gain their power.

Your family will then be free of this disease, but you will have serious side effects. Democraticulitus, chronic lethergy syndrome, Corona mass consumption, and many more.
