Why Annandale?

Why did Asians choose Annandale? In the 80's, white people loved this place. By 2000, more store names were in Korean than English! So why did they pick that location? Asians are savvy enough. Surely there was a better kocation than Annandale.

Also Koreans are at Centreville now typical migration for second generation plus

another 10-15 years it will be another Takoma Park Md

Completing the Hispanic Belt of Annandale Springfield and East and Baileys Crossroads etc

If you are looking for Annandale circa that time period head out to Burke

I find many good cat and dog strays to keep my . It firet up nice in my Kung Pao dog err chicken. Taste just rike chicken. Yes yes, customer see no difference. Customer is happy. Yes.

yea why didn't they choose NY,NY or some city instead of the nations capitol?

It is very simple. Annandale residents stopped buying from neighborhood stores and went instead to nearby big box stores where prices were lower, or to malls with greater selection. Those neighborhood stores closed. Some Asian merchants were then attracted to the area by low rents. Asian customers started going there because there were several Asian businesses in one area. That encouraged more Asian businesses to locate there.

Crazy thing is there really isn't a large East Asian population in the immediate Annandale area.
