1/3/14 - Police chopper has been circling since about 9 PM - anyone know what/who they are looking for?

I saw 5 police cars rush into fairfax station area and choppers flying above safeway real low to the ground. I'd like to know what's going on too. Do you think if we call 911 and ask would they tell us?

I called and they said something was going on at John Ayres Dr but that the suspect was believed to have fled to the Safeway shopping center area off Burke Center Parkway... did not say what the crime was and asked me to call back if I saw something.

They called the helicopter out last week to track down a shoplifter from Kmart.
