Ever notice how Gio sucks since he got accused of juicing and had to stop going to biogenesis? Gio had to be taking the stuff 'cause he's only half the pitcher he was pre-scandal.

Espinosa still sucks even with PED's? He's an automatic out and has been for years. Fucking terrible.

Yes, he was very sharp this afternoon, and had to be with the offense again not showing up. (Dallas Beeler?) But Gio had good stuff and good command today. He looked much more like what he was over the season's first five weeks before the month-long stint on the disabled list. Good for the Nats if he gets locked in again.

Well, he sucks as a hitter. On a scale of 1-10, however, his defense is an 11. If he can't hit, the best scenario would be that the rest of the lineup hits well enough to carry him. With Harper coming back though, that doesn't look like the path ahead. Harper goes to LF, Zimmerman goes back to 3B, and Rendon to 2B. Espinosa becomes a guy who gets mixed in when and where useful. No longer a starter.

I am done with Espinosa. I constantly hear about how awesome his defense is. It is good, but hardly stellar and it doesn't come close to making up for his extremely shitty hitting.

His DWAR is .1 which puts him near the bottom of all 2nd basemen. He is middle of the road as far as fielding percentage and has committed 4 errors so far this year. That is pretty pedestrian, and hardly an 11.

I am uncertain how he gets talked up all the time as this defensive super star.

Espinosa needs to go! He is radically inconsistent which actually even makes him consistently bad. He swings for the fences in every possible situation, rarely gets on base via walks, his strike-out rate would impress Adam Dunn, he's just a little above average at defense. He's only going downhill from here, I just don't understand, as all of you guys as well, why management continues to put their faith in him. He's a BUM! Who gives a bleep if he's a buy-low chip right now, I'll literally take a hornets nest for this guy. Please, please God trade him!!! At least option him to AAA so he can flirt with the Mendoza Line lol.

The way the NATS have been playing, I wouldn't be surprised.
