Why can' Fairfax County drive good in the snow?
Posted by: The Blizzard Boy ()
Date: January 03, 2014 10:01AM

I am from up north. There is more snow in the winter than there is sun in the summer. You spend more time scraping ice off your car than you do drinking hot chocalate.

Why can't people drive right when the snow falls in Fairfax County?

As soon as soon as one flake is spotted all hell brakes loose on the road.

People up north always made fun of how southerners drive in the snow.

I always thought they were joking because the North won the Civil War and the south lost.

Boy were they right.

There needs to be a how to drive right in the snow training program mandated by Fairfax County.

Go sign up please!!!!!

That's easy: lack of practice and experience.

We simply don't get enough big snowfalls for people to get good at driving in them.

People up north New York have a lot of experience since they don't shut down for little snows. They also talk good.

It all evens out in the end, as we know the difference between 'good' and 'well', and 'breaks' and 'brakes'.

It was the War of Northern Aggression not the "Civil War". The reason things are so fucked up is because Yankees move here and pretend they're in NYC.

We have a lot of "undocumented guests" around here whose only driving experience consists of rickshaws and ox carts.

You've got a really good point. Just this morning some teenager in his soccer mom's van tried to do a 180 in the middle of a backroad in front of me without looking and almost hit me. There are plenty of small roads, he could have turned around on.

Don't forget about riding elephants. Remember Temple of Doom? Those indians love riding elephants.

Because most people are either from Asia, Mexico, or South America.

Saw a guy this morning at Pickett and Little River ... he had lifted the wipers up before he left home ... and never put them down! He could not see a thing and had no wipers to clean the window. Amazing stupidity.

Why is it that morons keep moving to DC and then whine and complain about everything here? Who forces these idiots to come here? Why don't they go back to the hellhole that they created and then left (and yet still love so much) We don't need your ass here! Go back to libtard land and live with the consequences of electing corrupt leftwingers!

"fare". not "fair". If you're gonna edit, edit.

Where I am from these road conditions would be a late March relief after 3 months of not seeing the painted lines on the roads. They train you for this weather during driving school. Thank you Lake Erie for your lake effects

Penguinos dont exceed speed limit for fear of being deported

Asians spend most of their lives on their phones, driving is not the main focus when behind the wheel

Indians/aknads don't have cars in their countries, they think they are flying magic carpets down the beltway

This is why they drive better in snow up north. Thought it was pointed out clearly enough in the second post

Fairfax drivers are awful because they're aggressive and impatient. And they have no idea what to do in the snow.

Also this thread reminds me why I moved out of the area... so many racist bastards. *shakes head*

I went to school in Norfolk. The place got like one snow storm every three years. It was hilarious to watch the locals and VA Beach people drive in the snow.

We got a bunch of beers and sat on our porch watching people trying to stop at stoplights. When the light changed people would slam on their brakes like normal and go sliding into the intersections. Hours of entertainment.

What I find idiotic are the people that keep tailgating people on the right side of the road instead of moving to the left and passing them by (accidents screw traffic for all morons). In general people, if you want to drive faster move to the left, isn't that a Driving 101 rule? Also, I have noticed a lot of people driving below the speed limit but that is mostly in Maryland and DC because of the speed cameras. Also, many people are stopping way before the white lines at the corners, again because of the red light cameras that are usually hypersensitive and give you a ticket just for being too close to the white lines even if you did not run the light
