Police are searching for Daniel Thomas Vargas, 21, of Nokesville, in connection with a March 20 assault and theft of Jordan tennis shoes in the Manassas area.
The 20-year-old victim told police he answered a knock at his front door about 5:35 p.m., and Vargas – whom he knows – immediately began assaulting him, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
While the two struggled outside, the assailant’s brother, Justin Vargas, went into the house and allegedly told several pairs of shoes, Perok said.
Both fled the area after the assault. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Police later arrested Justin Vargas, but they are still looking for Daniel Vargas, who is wanted on a charge of malicious wounding, Perok said.
