Hundreds of dead birds on overpass???

Has anyone seen the hundreds of dead birds on the Westfields Blvd overpass? It appears as though, those black birds that flock together and do some pretty impressive flying all together at the same time switching in different directions quickly may have all flown into the side of a truck. Its the only thing I can think off that would have taken out that many birds at once.

Most of them are flattened now, but I must have driven by not long after it happen, because most of them were still puffed up and looked like birds.

Just curious if anyone else has seen it?

It was sad and if you drove over, you had no choice but to drive over them, because they were literally everywhere, there wasnt an area in the two lanes that were not covered by them.

I also know that it happend right before I got there because one like I said they were still puffed up and two when I slowly drove over them, you could hear the crunching of I guess the bones and feathers. That was hard and made me a bit sick but there was no clear area to avoid them.

I dont know about being blown away, but now they are being washed away. I was going to take a picture of them today, but couldnt find a spot to stop without getting hit myself.

I just got rid of my parakeets. Obnoxious, noisy, unfriendly little bastards. It's been universally decided that parakeets are stupid and dumb.

I saw it on Sunday. It was near dusk so I didn't realize what they were until I was upon them. Very odd. I thought they must have been poisoned, but then couldn't figure out how they all dropped in the same place. Then I thought they got caught in some wake turbulence from a large aircraft landing at Dulles and were just pushed into the ground...but that seems unlikely. Freaky.

just an update on the bird situation...
I asked an officer that I know if they had heard what had happend. They said that several calls came into the station the night it happend and they have heard two stories which was that the birds flew into the side of a truck and the other was that they flew into a low flying aircraft and all dropped in the same spot.
These are the birds that you see do different crazy flying styles all together at the same time, switching directions really fast, but all at once.
