I am being relocated to Fairfax from Richmond and would love to know all about Fairfax.

Best restaurants?

Best bars?

Best place to live?

Thanks!

If you're single and can afford it, live in Arlington. Pretty much everywhere else around here is boring suburbs.

How about right in Fairfax? I don't want to have to commute. Office is off Braddock Road.

Thanks!

Arlington has some nice places but it is dirty and has a lot of traffic. It can be hell to get to anywhere else from there. The best place to live is Old Town Alexandria, unless you want more trees and a larger lot.

The area between Braddock Road and Little River Turnpike (236), just outside the Beltway is fairly nice; better than in the City of Fairfax. Actually many parts of Burke/Springfield/Annandale all have some good neighborhoods. There are bad neighborhoods too, but those are obvious once you see them and easy to avoid.

actually, you will pay lower taxes in Fairfax City and will receive way better city services vs. living in the county. better trash pick up and way better leaf removal - if you are looking for a single family house. old town Fairfax City near GMU is a fun area.

You're being trolled, people - probably by the same guy who did the 'looking for a good African-American community' thread. Check out the link above.

Fairfax City is pretty nice, there's not a whole lot of nightlife for a single 35 year old though. But its a good place to live, and not too far from 66, so you could go to Arlington or DC on the weekends..Everything is more expensive here than Richmond though

Compared to Richmond, there are no bad neighborhoods in Fairfax.

Finally...that was my end game to get someone to send a link to a crappy apartment complex....

Seriously, Fairfax is the worst place Woodbridge with more money. Richmond is so much better.

I make the same amount of money, my house is $200K less and bigger, and I have 15 minute commutes.

FAIRFAX SUCKS

YOU HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY TROLLED

Love You, Miss You
