Fairfax Sheriff Arbitrarily Increases Sentences for All Inmates

Yesterday Fairfax Sheriff Stacey Kincaid said that she is changing the policy of releasing inmates at one minute past midnight when they are eligible to regain their freedom and is keeping them until eight o'clock the next morning because it will be better for those being released who need social services.

Is that "arbitrary"? Sounds like it could indeed have reason behind it, doesn't it?

As in, we don't need a bunch of people released to the dark streets at midnight, let's wait a few hours so that it is daylight out, perhaps more resources are available to them at that time (buses, taxi's, places to get food, relatives to pick them up, etc).

Sounds like it could be reasonable to me.

I guess you don't remember the year when people were complaining because they were released from jail in the middle of the night during a blizzard.

They should bill them for the extra night of lodging and food.

I know that she did not ask the Fairfax Bar for their input prior to making this decision. Contrary to public misconception, the jail is not full of hardened criminals who committed felonies. Most of the people in Fairfax ADC are there for a few days for misdemeanors and the large majority of them have families in the area and hold down jobs. Most people being released do not have to report to OAR or take public transportation to get home. The vast majority of people serving time are being given extra time to serve for no reason whatsoever.

I am certain that the Bar would have seen the necessity to have some people in need of services or transportation held until 8 a.m. but there was no reason for the sheriff to make that policy apply to all who serve time.

Good, as long as the niggers and spics are locked up in there, they can't reproduce and continue to leech off welfare.

They can keep you until 11:59 PM your release date is the date not a time. Loudoun releases at 8 or 9 in the morning as well. Don't see why its such a big deal.

Rumor has it....Not all is smelling like Roses in the Sheriffs office. Anyone care to comment and enlighten us as to what the problem could be? Can't imagine the Lady Boss being afraid to take a stand and make her position clear-or is it destined to be an atmosphere of discontent over the next 2 years. As evident in photos on the "internet" who in that office really supports the Sheriffs efforts. One has to worry about her stress level and how she's managing the conflict or is she? Perhaps she's better served in the Community than in her office- seems like that is where she wants to gather support rather than the ranks within the department

hey if she wants me one more day i'll be her guest !!

not in the prison though that place smells like poo

it's likely a health hazard. which is far beyond the law, being exposed to disease, if one can hardly claim an actual crime occurred - which today is most laws "on the books" (since 1998 or so they've been converting civil offenses to criminal ones. did you know?)

they didn't install the toilets right
