Ledo Pizza Centrville-CLOSED

Drove by and saw the location next to Giant Food has closed. What gives?

Not a big fan of the pizza, but thoght there was enough business to keep it going since it seems to have a rather large following. What I am suprised is that the 5-guys across the street outlasted Ledo's.

The one in the Sully Station shopping center already had a change in management; probably not long for this world. That particular location (that is, location internal to the shopping center) has never had a long-lived restaurant - bad feng shui.

That Centreville Ledo's location used to be a Duron paint store. What's next to go, the chicken place? Shade Tree is closed or undergoing renovations - I can't decide which.

That is the dumbest shopping center design ever. It's like, "Let's hide everything from the public and then wonder why stores keep going under."

Good...that Ledos sucked ass. The chicken & beer place, I've heard is pretty good.

If you're talkin' the Sully Station center, yes, it is indeed pretty much hidden from view from the road.

Plus the "sight lines" while IN the shopping center cause quite a bit to be hidden, too (the problem with saw-tooth-facade buildings).

It is quite good—and being part of a well-known Korean chain (BBQ) gave them instant name recognition among a significant portion of the Centreville population. They do a good business, although the recent opening of Bonchon (next to WOW Fresh Meats, the Korean butcher shop) may have siphoned off some of their clientele.

These same design considerations have doomed much of Reston's strip-mall-style commercial business.

The Ledo's by Giant? Do you mean the one by Safeway (or what used to be Safeway)? I wasn't aware that there were two Ledo's in Centreville.

Yes there were two Ledo's in Centreville. There is one in Gainesville in one of the new shopping centers they built the past few years along Rte 29.

Better than Sbarro?

I had Ledo for dinner on Saturday night. I got the 14" buffalo chicken pizza and shared it with Mrs. Strife who had yet to try a Ledo pizza. It was great as usual, but it isn't "real" pizza...

Never knew there was a Ledo's in C'ville either....The only people who I have ever met that actually like Ledo's are from MD. Ledo's should stay in MD as should all the ass clown MD'ers. If you want pizza that doesn't cut corner than Little Ceasars is the place to be.

Not sure what you are talking about. I can never find a parking space at any of the Reston strip malls. They seem to be doing a thriving business.

The Ledo's in Maryland (THE Ledo's in Maryland...) moved from Adelphi to College Park a bit ago - now they're RIGHT next to the City Hall under the parking garage that was built where a couple really nice old houses and a metered lot (also where a really nice house used to be!) used to be.

Centreville Square, the shopping center that fronts Lee Highway and is across St. Germain from Centrewood Plaza (where BBQ Chicken is, and Ledo used to be).

I use to live right across the street from the Ledo's in Adelphi in the late 60's. I remember going there to eat as a young child. Too bad the neighborhood is not the same when I lived there.

How interesting - they're tearing out all the shrubbery hiding the shopping center from Westfields Blvd street view - think they got a clue?

Hope it works.

[why is Westfields Blvd Westfields Blvd but Westfield High School is Westfield High School?]

Good Riddance!

I had the misfortune of eating at a Ledo's for the first (and consequently the last) time late last year. Not only was the dining-in service terrible, but they toppled our Supreme pizza with so many toppings that they served us what was essentially a large, rectangle piece of bubbling grease.

I'd rather give my money to Paisano's

Yes, Ledo's pizza at Sully Station is very true to form to the original in College Park - the first thing I noticed about the CP (er...Adelphi) Ledo pizza (about 40 years ago (!)) was the...ahem...sheer amount of whatever-it-was (I suspect olive oil in the majority, BTW).

YMMV but I actually like the pizza even though its crust is...like...REALLY thin (I prefer big puffy crusts).

OH NO! SO MANY TOPPINGS ON A SUPREME! Seriously, where do you get off? That sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

I can't say that I've ever heard of someone complain about too many toppings on a pizza. Amazing.

Ledo's is a strange place.

I'm horrified by what they call pizza. Yet at the same time, I'm drawn to it. Those perfect little squares of grease with a single, thick and tasty slice of pepperoni on them.

They're addictive, I'll give them that.

Every time I go to one, I regret it, but I keep going back.
