My neighbors are garbage

They leave their goddamn barking dog outside for hours on end. They actually stay outside with the dog encouraging it to bark. They're nuts. What the hell should I do?

Yes, your neighbors are oblivious assholes. I just don't understand people like that. Try talking to them calmly (as much as it may kill you). If it doesn't improve, call Animal Control. Keep calling until something is done. Even if they do something, you may have to repeat this exercise when the neighbors get sloppy (and they will). People like this have to learn the hard way.

You might also try an ultrasonic dog silencer. I had a hand held one when I walked around the neighborhood. They are surprisingly effective. Look for something that you can mount outside.

Barking non-stop for 30 minutes or more is a noise violation. Record it and contact police or judge to file a complaint.

Nothing can fix trashy people, they are born into it and will die with it. Be thankful they are not chaining their evil spawn to a fence post and for now it is just a dog.

The police have no power over a barking dog. They will only come out and talk to the owner.

Try calling animal control. They will come out and make sure the dog is being well cared for and make sure they are registered in the county.

Ever try going to your neighbor an telling them that it annoys you. Sorry not quick to draw a gun unless I plan to use it. Police cannot do anything about noice violations it's a civil matter.
