Men rob 7-Eleven; clerk injured

Police are searching for two robbers who hit a Manassas 7-Eleven clerk with a handgun and made off with cash and cigarettes early Wednesday.

The robbery happened about 12:10 p.m. at the 7-Eleven at 8901 Godwin Drive, city police said.

The robbers approached a clerk on an aisle and hit him in the head with a black revolver.

They then demanded cash from the register, cigarettes and the victim’s personal belongings.

The clerk was treated for minor injuries.

One robber was described as black, and wore a mask that didn’t cover his entire face. He had on all black clothing and gloves.

The second, of unknown race, had a mask covering his face, a dark shirt, yellow and black work gloves and jeans.
