Best FIOS alternative?

I have had FIOS for about 6 years. My Triple play bundle is coming up for renewal in January, and I heard that they changed the TV channel tiers again to force everyone up into a higher price bracket.

I want my cost to go down, not up. However, my family is not ready to go streaming-only for TV content.

Is Cox a good alternative?

I've had a few different cable subscriptions in the area, and Fios has been the best so far. I too would like prices to go down instead of up (for gas, groceries, etc), but that's not very realistic.

Call them up and speak to the customer retention department, tell them you will cancel if they do not give you the same price they have been giving you. I do this with cox every 6 months.
