Documentary on Westfield HS to appear on ABC.

On December 15th, 2008 at 9PM on ABC (local channel 7), about Westfield HS's production of 'The Wiz' which occurred in the 2007-2008 school year. While the documentary focuses mainly on the Theatre program and Westfield's Performing Arts Department,it also shows a somewhat "inside" look at Westfield.

How the rest of the student body at Westfield feels when such slanderous remarks are made against them and their high school?

I do. Honestly, I really don't think they deserve it.

I can't wait to watch this! I saw the show last year and it was so amazing.
Also, I really don't understand why Westfield keeps getting slammed, particularly on this website. It's a fantastic school!

The facebook group that is being talked about on the other thread thing? It says the creator of the group was a girl named Danielle, but why does it matter if she did?

The type of publicity in this thread isn't negative, though? Or wasn't necessarily started as negative? There are tons of other boards that were created with negative publicity, why single out one that stated something positive?

Look, if I wanted to waste my time on things like these I would. This, meaning 'you' posting on this website about me, was only brought to my attention because I have friends and family (one of which happens to be 'do you ever wonder') that frequently read forums on this site. I did not create the Tina thread. Yes, I created the Facebook group. Why did I create the Facebook group? Because it makes me sad that Westfield has gotten such a bad reputation, particularly on this website, from isolated events that have occurred there and with previous students that doesn't necessarily depict Westfield overall. I think WHS is an awesome school and I'm proud to go there.

That being said, if you would wish to continue this conversation with me, I would be more than obliged to. However, I believe that the rest of the Fairfax Underground readers would prefer it if we left it off the site, like you yourself said. Therefore, if you would like to continue this conversation, e-mail me or message me over Facebook assuming that you have one. If not, leave me out of this, OK?
